5. He hitched his wagon to the GOP when it turned sinister
and and stayed onboard as it became toxic. Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain.

He preferred Stevenson to Eisenhower... Eisenhower! But didn't want to see McGovern, Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton, or Gore in the Oval Office.

Fuck that "trying to take the party back to the center" bilge, he liked the direction the country was going for 40 YEARS and voted to make it happen. Fuck that oily weasel.

6. This is irrelevant.
He was a Republican, and he voted for his own party. Are we to expect that those who defect from the GOP to have been stealth Democrats?

14. He voted his ideology. Now he has a D behind his name, has he changed his ideology?
Or would he still vote for McCain? He changed his R to a D for expediency not because he changed his principles. He is still a horrible person. He supported Bush's killing innocent Iraqi children and IMO he would do it again in a second.
I hope he is primaried. I hope we send Obama a huge message. Stop kissing up to the enemy. Stop playing footsie with the GD repukes. Tell Specter and Lincoln to go straight to hell where they belong, along with their asshole blue dog Democrats.

13. Specter was an absolute piece of CRAP to her, and I love Teddy standing up to him.
I've not wanted to watch this for a long time, but finally, I watched after nearly 2 decades of not wanting to see it again.
