Then they showed an aerial video of what looked to me like about 1500 people max. :wtf:

6. Bill Maher on Hardball is always somewhat cringe-inducing
Not because of Bill, and I realize there's a time delay between the two where there seems to be a moment of silence where Bill is just staring blankly at the camera when he's actually listening to what we've already heard Matthews say. It's Matthews himself where he switches between the little dog from old Warner Brothers cartoons (I'm just like you, ain't I, Spike? Huh? We're pals, ain't we? Ain't we, Spike?) and then pulling a Tucker where he just throws out a subject and expects Bill "to be a monkey" and automatically come up with something amusing to say. I honestly think Bill, on some of the longer pauses, is waiting for Matthews to continue and ask a question before realizing, "Oh, he's expecting me to come and take the ball from him instead of passing it to me... again."

16. Yes, the satellite delay is cringe inducing
With all the different circuits, each with a little delay to prevent feedback, and the actual round-trip signal delays from Earth to the satellite and back, it looks like it takes around a second and a half for Bill's instantaneous reaction to arrive after Tweety does anything. Bill manages it well on his show but Tweety doesn't seem to have a clue and constantly leaves Bill doing that polite stare while he knows something is being said he should be reacting to.

18. lol. It is very noticeable with Maher... I don't recall seeing such
huge delays when other guests were on. Maybe Maher does it on purpose to punish Tweety for his silly questions and comments.

but honestly I really really don't find them attractive. Maybe I have higher standards? Maybe it's years of working in entertainment? I have drawn people of every shape and size in every possible contortion with every possible expression. These women are not attractive by any measure. They are worn and phony and wear way too much makeup. I've stood next to Heidi Klum chatting in the park (very sweet woman btw) and that is an attractive woman.

17. Slight criticism: Why did Tweety leave Michelle Obama off the list
of female role models? Love Tweety, but that was a huge omission that confirms my suspicion that in general people rely the most on role models who look like them.

30. Great point.
Rather disappointing that neither brought up Michelle. I was waiting for either of them to mention the fact that most of today's 'female role models' are not even in politics, but are either in film or in music, and many of those (not all, by any means) are just bimbos and whores, even if they are pretty in that synthetically-cosmetically-altered sort of way..

24. I attended grade school in the '60's.
We were taught that originally, the civil war was about economics. They taught us that it was well into the war before slavery became an issue. The emancipation proclamation was not given until the last few years of the war. I believe that it SHOULD have been about slavery and civil rights from the start, but our history books (then) claimed differently. Slavery of any person is (IMO) worse than murder. It is a continual killing of an individual. I am just curious if anyone else was taught this? I did grow up in the south so it's hard to know...

29. Maher keeps getting better. I hope he never backs off from revealing the
bigotry and their obsessions with demeaning government, their paranoia about guns, their abortion hysteria - especially coming from the men. And ... their illegal and indecent sex relationships and escapades and the ease with which they get themselves discovered.

31. Maher: "I don't know..."
Maher said: "I don't know what qualifications you need to have to be a presidential figure..."

If by "presidential figure," he means a presidential CANDIDATE... I would say, you need the qualifications to be a President! And Hmmmmmm.... where might Mr. Maher LOOK to find the answer to THAT question?

I think I've heard about a document which has that answer...

Its called the United States Constitution!!!

I wonder if Mr. Maher has HEARD of it?

32. Maher: "I don't know..."

Maher said: "I don't know what qualifications you need to have to be a presidential figure..."

He then went on, in a rather disparaging manner (oh yeah... he doesn't have to respect anyone... he's a comedian... that's right...) to discuss Palin's history in leading people.

I wonder what Maher's thoughts were about the "qualifications" of our current President when he was seeking to be a "presidential figure"?

38. Are you defending Palin?
Just for clarity...are you defending Palin saying she is qualified, dissing Maher for dissing Palin, or trying to insinuate that President Obama was just as qualified as Palin prior to him taking office?

Sarah Palin, again IMO, isn't even qualified to do what she is doing now--which is just sounding off one-liners and garnishing a whole lotta support for a movement that doesn't have a basis in reality. According to her contract, she can't even answer questions that haven't been pre-screened.

35. Tweety Is A Bi Curious Crusher
Looks like he's gone back straight after his schoolgirl like gushing over Dubya's manly codpiece, he's all hot and bothered about Bachman Palin Overdrive these days - like a 7th grader.

Maher was dead on trying to straighten Tweety out, Palin is in no way qualified to have any high level post in the US Government, let alone president.
