1. Have to admit I hadn't considered Al Gore for that job and I have no
idea if he'd want it.
But.
There'd be a refreshing counterpoint to Scalia were Gore to sit on the Court. His advocacy in cases in which the environment is in question would be much appreciated.
2. I love Al, but I don't think the USSC will ever again have a non-lawyer
They have already shown a predeliction for former judges, much less lawyers. I do think, though they may find a very experienced lawyer type that has already had political experience, not unlike the background of Sandra Day O'Connell.
5. I was going to say the same thing, but you said it better than I ever could.

I would support Al Gore %1000 for the Supreme court for no other reason than they joy that it would bring me to see the right so pissed off about it. The only thing that would make it better would be to have Obama really put it in their face. I can hear it now:
"So...for the last year you have blindly opposed everything that I have been trying to do to clean up the mess that....you... caused.... as if you live in completely different country. As a result I have decided to nominate Al Gore for the Supreme court. How do you like me now bitches!?"
I know he is trying to serve all the people, but when half the people are spoiled brats, it seems it is time to take their bat and ball away...they are past a timeout and too infantile for reasoning....they can't stand it when Obama "lectures" them. What to do? What to do?
