1. O'Reilly's quote about San Francisco:
"And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."

He screeches that it would be acceptable for terrorists to attack a US city, then turns around and cries about a cartoon. O'Reilly is utter scum of the worst sort.

3. This is exactly what I'm talking about
When people on this forum say "how can these pundits say such rediculous things and contradict themselves all the time" or "well yesterday Tweety made sense, but today he's gone off the deep end and I can't understand it", the answer is simple. The reason the pundits (or whatever O'Reilly is) do things like this is because they are betting that nobody will remember what they said yesterday. They just want to leave viewers with vague ideas regarding how they should feel about people, groups and issues. Specifics trouble them because, well, when you're on TV like this day after day for years at a time, you're going to say things you regret (some hosts more than others). *That* is why O'Reilly is always so damn mad at Media Matters. There are plenty of other groups at which he could target his rage, but MM threatens his little paradigm on an existential level because *they remind people of all the crazy things he's said*. Sure, in O'Reilly's little universe he can say inane things which make people think, "I hate San Fransisco but I'm not sure why", and no more. But, in the real world, peopld *do* remember his vile antics and aren't afraid to throw them back in his face, even years later.

That's what they're the most afraid of, IMHO.

5. I absolutely agree
You nailed it. FOX is using the power of suggestion to manipulate weak minded Americans. Their overt use of the (D) next to republicans scandalized is direct evidence of an intentional attempt to muddy the waters and create a sense of confusion among their lesser ably minded viewers, whose votes count the same as ours.

9. O'Reilly: Bend Over
I'm told it doesn't hurt as much to get spanked when you assume the position.
