1. I cannot stand when an interviewer does that. Its very rude and insults the
viewer who wants to hear what the interviewee has to say.

Looks like Brett Baer is trying make a name for himself among the Faux News fanboys.

6. No matter how acceptable it's become for tv hosts to interrupt their guests ...
I'm sorry ... to interrupt the President of the United States of America, elected to the highest office by a majority of the citizens of this country, is absolutely unacceptable. It's what Republicans have always liked to squeal about as "disrespecting the office of the Presidency." Only this is the worst case of it I've ever seen.

Shame.

this way by a reporter.

12. Lack of respect = no future ratings
I like Obama, but he should be ready to fuck them back for shit like this. If a level of respect isn't established during the pre-recording of this interview, then his staff members should cancel the interview. I understand that their are some that are in opposition towards his policies, but those assholes are not really trying to address the issues, but to show contempt towards our president.

13. Being a rude ignoramous
does not make one an interviewer.

It just makes one a low class, rude ignoramous. This is the norm not just at Fox, though they are the definite height of ignoramous crassness, but almost every single news station *interviewer* has gotten away with utterly billious manners for YEARS now.

I don't watch Fox and only see the snippets brought here, but whoever this jerk is, he shows his immaturity quite clearly. Buddy, you AREN'T that important. And if you were important, you wouldn't display the manners of some uneducated run at the mouth dipshit.

15. K&R I haven't watched the interview yet, did he stop rudely interrupting after that?
President Obama should have told him that if he doesn't stop interrupting to try and fit as many Faux/GOP talking points in as possible and let him answer the questions the interview would be terminated.

20. President Obama shouldn't
have consented to go on Fox in the first place. Does nothing but give credibility and dignity to an entity deserving of neither.

18. Just Taking his Marching Orders
President Obama should have slapped the you-know-what out of him. These Foxies are not newsmen or newswomen...they are shills for the right. They get their marching orders from Ailes and have their talking points well before they go on. They try to act like hard-hitting news people when they interview the likes of President Obama and Democrats but when a Republican comes on it's ass-kissing time. They fawn over Palin and others and treat the President with total disdain. They are an embarrassment to journalism and Baier is a P-U-N-K. He couldn't get a job anywhere else.

21. Classless debate tactic.
Edited on Wed Mar-17-10 09:20 PM by DeSwiss
That's all this is. When you're having you ass handed to you on the merits of your initial query, and you know that the response is not only that much better than your own, but it's making you look like an asshole for asking it in the first place, he then tries to belittle Obama using this interruptive debate-posturings, which is supposed to be seen as probing and insightful, but on analysis are baseless. And their repetitiveness is only intended to slow the onslaught of superior logic in answer to the interlocutor's manoeuvrings, shouts, and combative jumping up and down -- much like apes do.

- But this is Fox. So all that is a given. I mean, it's not as if we were talking about a legitimate news organization.....

23. Fuck You Bret Baier
Bret Baier is simply another right-wing douchebag tool in the FAUX propaganda network shed. This interview was nothing but an utter waste of the President’s time.
