A special thanks to Keith and Countdown for sharing his father's courage and the love he received from his children and grandchildren. I understand now why from the first time I heard Keith Olbermann on Countdown, I appreciated and respected his comments. As my beloved late mother-in-law used to say, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". My life is a little brighter and better for having this glimpse into the Olbermanns world.

6. That was among the few end year donations... we'll do it again...

... just as soon as we are able, but not soon enough.

We have health care, if you want to call it that.

Today, I had to cover my yearly vision check and new glasses because of how health this group care coverage has made us "choose" what we can afford to "have covered". So, it's another payment where I'll have to play with credit card billing cycle.

I'll support National Association of Free Clinics because our fucking Congress and President will not support us in the same manner. They're sell outs, save a few of them.

10. Keith's story of his dad reminds me so much of my story of

my mom.

"Life panels" are more important than I can ever convey. And thanks to the ones my siblings and I had with our mom, she was able to die in the way she wished.

My heart goes out to Keith and his sister, and I promise that when I get paid, I WILL be making a donation to the National Association of Free Clinics. Like Keith's dad, my mom had insurance and a strong support system, but I know that my mom (and I would bet that Keith's dad) was very aware of the millions of people in this country who don't, and they would be pleased in knowing that I and many others are reaching out so that those without can get the help they need.
