If you thought they couldn't get any more stupid than Sarah Palin's fans, Wait until you get a load of this lot!

At 4:58 (the same time you can see a sign with "Distorted Perception of Reality") someone announces there were "over 4,000" of them there and to not allow anyone tell them anything different. Judging by this video, it looks more like 40.

35. I'm right there with you.
I watched almost half, but it was just too painful.

Nothing like a Michelle Bachman rally to make you feel like projectile-vomiting on your computer screen. (Sorry for the visual, but...uuuggghhhhhh!)

40. If you think watching that was painful try actually being there
I was at the rally for its entire duration and I learned that Bachmann supporters don't like it when you bring a sign that does not carry one of their approved messages.

12. The Republicans never ask permission to use people's music
do do so would be an infringement upon their "freedom" and "liberty".

I'd love to see an ASCAP representative turn up at one of these things and start issuing fines when he learns they haven't paid their fee.

Since the only way he's show up now is as a zombie, maybe he'd start eating a few brains. He'd be lucky to find enough for an hors d'ouvres, though.

Edited on Mon Mar-15-10 12:53 AM by annm4peace
Notice the people in the video with NoObama shirts, and the logo of 1280 the Patriot.

So even with a corporate radio station and a corporate backed "think tank" backing the event.. all they could get was 1000 (maybe) people?

what a joke. and they try and convince people it is grassroots.

Just another astrotuff event.

check out their website.

10. "You don't get to choose who'll be in charge of your care".
Do you now? If you're in an HMO or PPF? Your doctors are pre-chosen, you get a CHOICE of 3 or 4. And if they're 250 miles away? Do you get mileage compensation from you insurance company?

If you get local care, does your insurance company pay if you need a referral?

I've found, with Blue Cross/Blue Shield - NO.

No.

No.

No.

11. And then there's always the hospitalist staff
(aka managers) that your DOCTOR HAS TO GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM deciding how much care you are rationed.
Gotta keep that bottom line rising for the investors!
Yes, these people are mental...
I especially liked the sign of the WW2 vet who was against government care.
WTF!?

15. I wonder who was "in charge" of his care.
My mom is 96. She HATES the doc Medicare assigned her, so uses her "own" with me and my brother subsidizing.

Dad was WWII and Korea. He thought Medicare should be "universal" for the U.S.

?? These assholes who create their own little libertarian worlds? Let 'em. Give them the bye-bye, and let's the rest of us who give a shit get on with it. They are a MINORITY of voters, but get the majority of coverage. Not like us who were (granted, in the 60's and 70's) IN THE STREET. They HOPE to get 60 folks, and the MSM makes it look like 4000. Like during the Obama campaign. Like the "support the US" after 9/11 (and b*sh floating around with his head in his hand).

I may not be making much sense, but DAMMIT if these idiots don't get it now, when will they get it? They want the money....that taxes won't take. About $4 a week.

Idiots.

16. You said it.
When I had major surgery, I was in the hospital for nearly a week. On the last day, the hospital staff was constantly checking with my insurance company to decide whether they could keep me or had to let me go. But st least I was fortunate enough to have insurance when I really needed it. I haven't had health insurance since 2007. :-(

38. Furthermore, what is the point of being able to chose your doctor?
Edited on Mon Mar-15-10 03:35 PM by liberation
If you are going to be denied coverage anyways?

Is that what these asshats are fighting for? To have the "privilege" to chose wich doctor they will be denied coverage from?

On a side note, these teabagging idiots are exactly what the ever diminishing standards would lead us. People keep giving all sorts of latitude, until at some point there is no longer any standards. This is the reason why idiocies like these need to be neutralized as soon as they appear. Liberals took the "high road" and ignored all the right wing hate in the airwaves for decades. And look at the conclusion: a rally of hate sponsored by a radio station.

These people are indeed frightening.

Edited on Mon Mar-15-10 01:33 AM by WhoIsNumberNone
He sure sounded like it. Maybe it's a speech impediment.

So if you were able to sit through this whole thing, you'd see at the end they were having a contest to see which sign amused the mouth-breathers the most. the winner got a big screen TV.

...

So they had to bribe this crowd with door prizes?!?

Also, there were more than 40 people there. From what I saw in this footage I could believe 1000- but I didn't see any shots that could convince me there were more than that. And given the teabaggers' and Fox "News" track record of exaggerating attendance at right-wing rallies, I'd have to see a high angle shot before I'd accept their estimate.

When Obama had crowds of tens or even hundreds of thousands, they would not show the size of the crowd, because it would have been unfair to McCain, who only gathered a couple thousands.

spelling. "Loonie" is our 1 dollar coin, because it features the loon, a bird, one one side. Sorry America could never figure out how to make a 1 dollar coin (saves us millions). "Loony" describes Michelle Bachman, who should by now be in an insane asylum.

Republicans never ask anyone if they can use their music.
