1. Always interesting and makes a lot of sense as well.
Christians have long disregarded the disagreeable parts and kept the flattering parts of the Bible. They just have never done it in an organized way. They think they know God well enough to know what he really means. As Hitchens alluded to the fact that man creates God out of their own bigotries and hatred.
