1. Excellent! Pass it on!
"They" won't let us go in the front door, then go in the side door and get the evidence. They are going to wish they had released those documents, rather than get caught with their pants down.

4. Specter talks a good game,
but rarely follows through with action.

5. I agree...
...he's disappointed too many times - though Gonzo is hard to defend.

6. The Justice Dept names the Special prosecutor. It stops right there.
So Gonzo appoints someone to prosecute him? Or Bush?

...will decide in this case because Gonzo is recused.

8. Doubtful this guy will act. He argued cases for Gonzales and BushCo.

10. Yes, but Bush-Rove run the show and are in charge of "Justice", so
it stops. Another dead end.

11. The glimmer of hope that I see is....
...that he taught "Separation of Powers" at Georgetown Law School. If the "Ghost of Constitution Past" shows up during the night - he might see it Congress' way.

12. I do hope you are correct there, but I firmly believe the "Justice Department"
has been taken over by Karl Rove.

13. Someone's got to step up...
...there's more to lose than rove's loyalty.

15. were the founding fathers just STUPID in designing a system that screeches to a halt
over one man, karl rove stopping it?

can that many patsies in government agree to NOT STEP up courageously and do the right thing.

will history show this solicitor general doing the right thing or are we faced with a democracy , designed by the founding fathers with a fatal flaw.

the achilles heel

the dept. of justice where all 3 branches merge into one branch, owned by the president? is this where all my history lessons end, and I start to say

GOD DAMMIT, it's time for a new constitution.

one with citizens actively involved in government instead of having so little influence in the congressional voting that happens. who here on DU feels a single senator or house rep. has conscientiously voted the will of his constituents? i can't find a single one of the bunch that did the right thing so far, from conyers, to specter, to feinstein, all the way down to patti murray, to pelosi.

they are all cowards and have failed us.

if their best shot is asking the nazi general to prosecute the nazi soldier, then this is a real problem folks. gonzales is nothing more than a foot soldier with lots of power mind you but about 7 or 8 layers from the top.

if we don't chop off the head of the chicken, it will continue to produce bad eggs like gonzales.

the head of the chicken is not even rove or bush or cheney.

we have to gut halliburton, enron, the oil companies we have to nationalize them.

it's time to pull a chavez on the country.

who can do that? the SEC? what government group that still has some sense of democracy can gut these companies down to their skivvies? and take that money and buy the political influence in congress so that the pelosi's of the world are mouthing their goals instead of her current corporate affiliates?

the true fact is we have a fascist government where the levers of power are controlled by companies controlling military controlling politicians.

just look at the # of military folks in the White house press room. that never used to be. we are in perpetual war to allow the companies to control the military to control the politicians to control the people.

here's the way out. the people are the military.

it's time for a mutiny on the military bounty. a mass conscientious objection to the tune of tens of thousands of soldiers now!

it's time for a citizen revolt
it's time for nationalization of the oil companies

it's time for a rewrite of the constitution.

nothing else makes sense now.

our congressmen opine like skinny jewish men 2 steps from the gas chamber asking for a bar of soap.

i hate to use such harsh analogies but this is auschwitz baby and if you don't think the stakes are high, ask a tortured person at guantanamo, or an illegal immigrant or your next door neighbor when Bush puts the police state into action.

as a gay person, I already know the stakes are high.

we have to get these creeps out of office by whatever nonviolent revolionary method available to us.
