Summary: Cenk moderates a debate/discussion between Salon.com's Glenn Greenwald and Professor Lawrence Lessig of Change Congress on the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and the potential impact on our democracy (Glenn thinks the court got it right but Lessig strongly disagrees). You can and http://tinyurl.com/yl9hpxo|Lessig's response here>.

PS---Check out (and subscribe to) our new channel, . As the name suggests, it's all great interviews with members of Congress, Media Matters reps, notable media figures, authors, journalists, reporters, conservatives (yes, conservatives) and much more.

1. I've always like Glen Greenwald and Jonathan Turley, but strongly disagree
with them about that SC decision.

6. See Post # 4.
And don't let Cenk's criticism of the Obama Admin (a topic irrelevant to this video) make you dismiss all of the other content on the show. You know, like his praising of Harry Ried and calling out Republicans on corporate tax breaks (featured on the homepage right now). Or his video yesterday on how Republicans are breaking obstructionist records with the filibuster.

Have some perspective. I have yet to meet someone in my life that I agree with 100% of the time, and I hope I never do, because it would say more about me than that person.

4. He disagrees with Glenn which is why he brought on Prof. Lessig to debate him here.

It's an excellent, substantive and civil discussion on a critical issue. It baffles me that you could watch it and still decide to leave that non-substantive comment.

5. I saw Lessig on Bill Moyers ripping apart another Libertarian
Libertarians like Greenwald are almost as bad as Repugs.

7. i haven't listened to the whole tape yet (tonight after work)
but i think it's the money issue that should be exempted from the protection of free speech. iow, money should not be considered a free speech element and should therefore have restrictions . . . which i am sure is what they will be getting to when i have had time to hear the whole tape. B-)

9. K&R IMO the courts got it wrong because
corporations are not people. That is the root of the problem.

11. Excellent! You don't get this as often as we need to on MSM!
This is the first time I've heard someone (besides myself) point out that THE INDIVIDUALS WITHIN A CORPORATION WHO ARE LEGAL CITIZENS ALREADY HAVE A VOICE AND A VOTE! This corporate citizenship stuff is utter BULL SHIT!

12. Angels dancing on pinheads
As long as these two discuss ad nauseum how some pieces of paper filed in a Secretary of State's office have "free speech rights", American democracy will continue to slide down the sewer. I shut off this mental masturbation after listening to far too much of it. If they want to do something useful, they can dredge up Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad and figure out how these corporate persons can be aborted.
