Last week, Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown unveiled his "fresh" new ideas to help our economy - cut taxes! Apparently Mr. Brown has no recollection of the last 3 Republican administrations, who all cut taxes and plunged our economies into a recession. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to discuss Brown's brain dead ideas.

1. Trickle Down
Edited on Tue Feb-09-10 09:34 AM by tsstranger
It was a complete failure under RayGun. All trickle down does is make the rich richer, the poor poorer and makes the working class carry more of the load.

Remember the Republican answer to the Bush disaster of an economy?

Cut taxes on the rich and powerful.

Broken record Republicans.

2. Nice debate
The moran that screams the loudest wins.

Just fucking great.

More tax cuts. Trickle down doesn't work. There's thirty years of history to fucking prove it. With actual data and actual facts.

Tax cuts for the middle class is what stimulates economies. The middle class will take their extra cash and put it directly into the real economy. The wealthy invest it in one of their beloved Wall Street bubbles instead of the economy.

I don't know how Pap can take trying to debate these imbeciles?

3. Scott brown is a stupid vamped idiot.
He has never had to pay for health insurance. He is in the reserves and gets health care from them. He is a state legislator and could get health care from them. Its been 30 years since he had to pay for insurance. I know him he is dumb as a stump. He sells his daughters albums to the elderly in council on aging meetings. Nice guy. I have found him to be rude. He has been sucking on the taxpayer for many years.

5. And the only thing worse than a trickle down Republican is a trickle down
Democrat.

If the Democratic party doesn't stand against this Reaganomics trick, where's the hope and change? Wait, I'll go get my microscope. (Loyalty to a fault is . . . our fault.)

Keep in mind the Democrats couldn't bring themselves to end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy last year, but had no problem letting the income tax on unemployment compensation (introduced by Reagan in the 80's) remain. And there is no guarantee that they won't still extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy before they expire next year.

6. Since the 50's we have cut taxes and guess what? It doesn't help the economy
because the people are worse off than before. The facts are there... their talking points sound good but if you look at the results from all the tax cuts given especially to businessmen and women, it proves the talking point is BS! They don't give a damn about an economy that works for everyone, just the economy they profit directly from without any consideration for the country itself.

8. Independent Contractors? kinda got f*cked by bush
Uncle was one, but was pretty much screwed when Bush didn't go after illegal labor and the companies that hire them and he was forced into foreclosure. He was a massive Bush fan that voted Bob Barr in 2008. Go figure.

9. Why does Papantonio even bother
to try and talk to these idiots on Fox?

I mean it's nice that someone will stand up and be willing to go on a show knowing that they're outnumbered 5 to 1 just so that they can't spout their insanity unchallenged, but what really is the point? Anyone watching Fox to begin with will only believe what they want to believe.

Appearing on Fox even to argue against their position is a waste of time and only adds credence to their position by implying that it's a legitimate argument. It's not. FOX is to news as trolls are to the internet. The only thing you can do to with a troll is to ignore them and that's what I do with FOX.

10. I had to bail
I just can't take listening to Pap trying to shout over this chorus of idiots today. Everybody knows that cutting taxes for rich people doesn't stimulate shit. I suspect even these Foxclowns know it.
