1. I only give a recommend because...
it's good to hear from other sides of the story. (unlike Fox witch <----- :) only has one side of the story. ) Then uses Alan Colmes as a punching bag from time to time, although he does hold himself up pretty good.

Do I trust Al Jazeera? maybe slightly more than Fox, but not much. Because Al Jazeera deals more in News than propaganda. Fox deals more with Propaganda then news.

2. Al Jazeera has gotten an unfair bad rap with all the Bush propaganda......
........during and after the Iraq invasion. It's on FSTV and maybe LINK here in the US. I have watched it a couple of times and it seems "balanced". Watching a "couple" of times does not by any means say it is completely unbiased.

American MSM is not doing its job well at all.

10. Only watching it a couple of times, I would DEFINITELY say it...........
.......is better than Fox, and you'll get no argument about Amer MSM. My opinion the only close news outlets to being "fair" are BBC, Al Jazeera, DW, FSTV (especially Democracy Now), LINK that I know of. I am sure in "other" countries there are more. Even MSNBC has for the most part a "left" lean nowadays which is fine by me since no other MSM does. My preference is to have my "news" straight up, just the facts Joe, just the facts.

5. It would be nice to see news discussions that up-front
here on our MSM.

We get more posturing and talking points, and a hell of a lot less honest information.

7. Agree, BennyD. It would have been nice if the OP had given us the time period in the vid
when the relevant part came up.

P.S. I'm sure it's all very interesting, but I'd rather cut to the chase.

9. It's at 21:30 (approximately) into the vid.
That's where Max Keiser makes the relevant comment that "Obama and Geitner are lying......."

8. Couple of thoughts
Couple of thoughts- as to not having time to watch a 24 minute video. Isn't that the problem that we progressives have with our conservative foes? For them to get 24 minutes worth of "news" they will get it in 24 one minute bites. So they never really get a better grasp of the real situation. Example- Global warming- one minute bite that they hear 24 times a day is that "there are serious challenges within the scientific community about the reality of global warming" while the rest of us have watched 'An Inconvenient Truth' or viewed hour long Naomi Oreskes interviews. So while we know that there are challenges within the scientific community, we also know that there are conclusions within the scientific community. I enjoyed this video very much and have a better sense of how our economic problems are viewed by non US citizens.
As to AlJazeeraEnglish- I have not watched enough to have an opinion myself, but found this piece by Jonah Lehrer to be interesting. Jonah is one of those cognitive/neuroscientists types that gets to do all sorts of fun experiments about how the brain works. He did some work on cable news and how it tends to make us more dogmatic in our political views. Here is a snippet from his work, and the link to get to it.
http://scienceblogs.com/cortex/
see Jan 26 'Cable News'
Cable news takes advantage of this cognitive weakness. Interestingly, however, this latest study found that not every cable news channel reinforced the beliefs of its audience. The big exception? Al-Jazeera English, which reduced the dogmatism of viewers:

The longer participants had been watching AJE, the less dogmatic they were in their thinking...The reduced dogmatism applies only to the cognitive levels of thinking, or the way in which people process new information. People who are less dogmatic in their thought are more open to information that contradicts their worldviews, whereas people who think very dogmatically are more likely to ignore or minimize information that does not support their own beliefs. These levels of dogmatism are strongly related to political and cultural tolerance, and how people behave in confrontational situations.

11. Wouldsman: You need to make this an independent post.
It raises some very important posts. Also, start a journal - something I'm recommending to a number of people who've made very good points in their posts.
