First response to my question on impeachment -

Kind of what I expected...and, didn't really answer the question!

But, at least he answered it, we will see if the other candidates are asked at the debate tonight. Sen Edwards will answer it on his site tonight as well, after the debate.

1. What action is there besides impeachment in light of Bush's
veto power and the Republican resistance to reasonable proposals in the Senate?

2. There isn't - Bush basically has exerted himself King

And, they don't want to talk about it....

As far as I am concerned, anyone who won't support impeachment is not a suitable leader for this country.

5. Impeachment is not sufficient punishment
The impeachment is not sufficient, there must be more serious punishment.

3. So we can't stop the murderer... we just have to sort of stop the bleeding he's causing first....
...and then we can figure out a way to make it so that murder is not only illegal... which it already is... but harder for the next murderer in chief to perform. That's his plan? Chris Dudd '08? Right... I'd sooner vote for Ron Paul.

4. Senator Dodd, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but . ..
If you are not supporting an impeachment effort, then you are not doing all you can to stop the war.

6. If Bush is allowed to get away with it the next time it will be 10 times worse
The republicans are allowed to trample over everything and the democrats are too timid to stop them and are worried that, "if we do this then so and so will say that." The democrats in congress are total cowards and the republicans know it. If the democrats win in 08 the republicans will put on their, "its time for healing," charade just waiting to get the whitehouse again. IF there is no deterrence then we will see GW Bushes over and over and over again. Its a kleptocracy and there are no penalties, and they all get rich at our expense. This country makes me sick what it has turned into, largely because the democratic party has evolved into Milquetoast, wimp, doormats and the republicans see it and take full advantage.
