5. There once was (in the late 90s) a white supremacy group

Stationed close to Tulsa in a small town to the north called Catoosa. They mailed me a care package after I corrected then Oklahoma Senator Nickels over his trying to blame Clinton for Ruby Ridge (which happened under Bush the Senior). Randy Weaver is big at events frequented by people like them (gun shows, etc.), and he was a vehement anti-Clinton speaker (never understood why he didn't bitch about Bush killing his family) so my correcting the facts was a big no-no. Anyway, they sent me a copy of their quarterly newspaper - the middle of which was a two page fold for ordering racist stickers like what was supposed to be a fat Mexican eating a taco with stink lines coming off of him but actually looked like a cousin of mine eating a hamburger (and who would be comfortable with the group).

I can't remember what group it was except that I remembered from my senior project in high school (which was on hate groups) that they're the fat, redneck bubbas who go out into the woods and shoot cans and dream of the day the race wars start so they can jump in at the tail end without having to place themselves in danger. A friend of mine in Chicago who also did his project on these groups went and sat on a park bench across from their headquarters there and listened to the speeches given on the lawn. He said he was then blown backwards off the bench from the wave of irony that hit him when the speeches were over, and they started the picnic, and everyone was drinking Corona beer.

But then, I feel sick watching the stuff happening in Palestine and the Jewish settlers, too.

This is all wrong on so many levels. Are we about to destroy ourselves? Do we just start over? Can we omit religion next time, or do we have to start with the fish who grew legs?

I must be missing the hate gene.......I may dislike various folks, but I just can't get into the rants and the spitting and the mass stupidity.
