Hollywood actor Rob Reiner has emerged as an unexpected voice in support of gay marriage. As KPIX's Hank Plante reports, Reiner and other activists are using a unique strategy against Proposition 8.

I do not understand why there is 'surprise' that Rob Reiner supports gay marriage.

3. I am not surprised that Rob Reiner supports gay marriage,
however, I did not realize (or I had forgotten if I heard) that he put this legal team together and was mostly responsible for the financial backing.

I have been following some twitter and blogs, amazing stuff. Heart wrenching. It is really ashame that this trial is not televised. Should have been.
