1. ITA but can't take that guy's voice!

I've not heard of Max Keiser. He has the most shrill unpleasant screechy voice. But I listed to part 1. I couldn't take more.

He seriously needs voice coaching.

7. I sympathize...

...but I would suggest you try and get past it. Part of his presentation is schtick, he likes to rattle the cage and the screechy voice just adds to that (although I think it is his natural voice, just with the volume up).

I've listened to him since his BBC program started showing up here and on YouTube. Sadly that one did not continue. What I know about his background lends credence: he worked on Wall Street, made a bundle, and he wrote a patented trading system that is still used -- in Hollywood, I think. He knows how this game works. Anyway, one thing I remember is when I first started watching him I though: WTH? Who is this guy, and what is he smoking? And can he be trusted? Then I started noticing, not only was his analysis convincing, but his predictions seemed to come true a lot more often than those of the other financial pundits.

So again: my advice is, if you are interested in financial stuff, and want an unvarnished look at it, you can hardly do better than Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert. Just suck it up and listen up! :-)

I think he lives in France. Probably speaks French, then.

Now that you mention it, his voice does screech. I never noticed it before and I guess I'm just not bothered by it that much.

4. Style vs. substance

I have watched and listened to Max for quite a while now. I am an American living in France, like Max. I think he does know what he is talking about, and I also think that the rest of the world is simply too afraid to pull on the loose thread that will unravel the whole garment that is the economy. The average person in this world IS being bamboozled by the big investment banks, not just GS and those others in New York, but worldwide. The scam is on. This happened in America because Congress was, and is, corrupt. There has been, since Reagan's presidency, an obvious revolving door between Wall Street and Washington. The voters elected these lying bastards and they got robbed. The Federal Reserve is also a sham. It needs to be dismantled. The US Treasury should be the sole source of the money supply.

Maybe Max's style is shrill, but he is right. I think he sounds a bit like he is about to lose his mind because he knows he is right, but nobody cares. My own concern is this: maybe Max's credibility would be improved if Iran wasn't supporting his broadcast.
