If anything, I'll give credit to Lieberman for one thing. He is making Sarah Palin look like a freakin' genius. He tells the reporter in this clip, straight-faced, that the government will have to bail out the government plan if it hits hard times.

The government will have to bail out the government?!!

Can someone please re-light the damn pilot light in this idiot - it has obviously blown out from the draft running between those ears of his.

1. If the Pentagon claimed it needed the same amount of stipend as HCR,
would Lieberman have the same justification for denying THOSE funds????

2. How dare we have fire departments, military, or police which we bail out constantly...
Edited on Wed Oct-28-09 11:29 AM by tomm2thumbs

There should be NO PUBLIC OPTION for the fire department - or police. It should ALL be privatized and you pay if you want them to show up.

No pay? No police. No firetrucks. You are on your own!

And as for medicare, better start saving now, because a GOP member introduced a bill to privatize it. We can see where their brains are located. IN their butts next to their wallets.

3. First off JOE, why are you assuming a PO will fail? because you WANT people to believe it will fail
and are exploiting the public outrage over bailouts as a ploy to compare it to the Public Option. SO obvious this twisted logic is just political cover for the industry he represents. Again- FU JL!

6. Well, if taxes paid for it...
Edited on Wed Oct-28-09 01:02 PM by AlbertCat
....then the only reason it would go belly up is all those who don't pay taxes.... and I don't mean individuals. Make Corporations pay their minimal tax at least.... and maybe get out of all the illegal occupations, and we could pay for health care for everyone... plus a pony!
