Apparently the local fire marshall has warned them not to do the burning, that it is illegal. Also protestors are going to be there.

"A pastor in the United States plans to gather his congregation to burn Bibles and religious books by various Christian authors, including Mother Teresa, because they are "Satanic".

Marc Grizzard, a pastor with the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, North Carolina, said he and his congregation plan to come together to burn Bibles on Halloween, October 31.

The New Revised Version Bible, the American Standard Version Bible, and even the New King James Version are all pronounced to be works of the Devil by Pastor Grizzard and his followers.

Grizzard said the first King James translation of the Bible is the only true declaration of Gods word, and that all others are "satanic"."

5. the NIV...'that's not the bible!' because it was in plain english..

back in the day, i wanted to believe there was 'method in the madness' and used the New Internat. Version- easily the most readable bible ever....i showed it to a xian fundy dude one time and he was taken aback then disgusted...no 'thees and thous' etc thus it wasn't blessed. lol
