http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiHxMhVA5GAJulian Bond, chairman of the NAACP for more than a decade, describes the commitment which the NAACP has made towards the same sex marriage issue and equality for all. 'We have some real and serious problems in this country... same-sex marriage is not one of them.' He quotes those in the equality movement who share this vision and takes some direct shots at the anti-same sex marriage movement.
'Why are some people tied into knots about some people tying the knot. Why are they so un-civil about something as civil as marriage?"
"And what about family values? More than a million children are being raised by gay and lesbian parents in the United States. What about their rights? Our opponents are not only anti-love, anti-equality... they're anti-children."
