CBS KUTV-2 News: A Utah County artist says he was angry about the election of President Obama. He paints a picture attacking liberals.

He uses way too much white in his highlights.

I hope he sells a million prints. I think it's great that people have the opportunity to advertise their brand of ignorant foolishness right on the walls of their home or office. Sort of like an "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt or a nasty cold sore.

and all the cliche's in the painting are a retro-Mormon and tea-baggers dream. A warped blend of Rockwell's idealized America with propaganda eerily similar to Hitler's taste in realistic art that glorified the nation/state and the soldier. Notice the predominance of soldiers in the painting. The only difference is McNot's soldiers don't have big rippling muscles. The Mormon's are about 40 years behind the rest of civilization in social and intellectual evolution, reflected in the style of this painting. Speaking of evolution, Darwin professor walking with Satan? No people, you cant even READ Darwin or consider ideas that contradict the bible without being poisoned by his spell- A call to burn books? Where have i heard that before? I like how he deifies the "schoolteacher" and the "college student" as long as they teach and read what he believes is right. Oh and don't get me started on the handicapped child! A Palin reference for sure (huckster poster sales pitch). Reagan belongs with Satan, not the sanctified ground of the founding fathers.

This work demonstrated that an artist/illustrator can have great technical skill and stupid ideas. I'm going to bet this gets full coverage on Mormon Beck's show, and he won't get the irony of him highlighting and glorifying the propaganda of this painting after railing against and making stuff up about the (non-existent) mural by Rivera at the Rockefeller Center.
