Seriously! My family loves to tell the story at family gatherings about how, at age 3, I pronounced banks completely untrustworthy, and how by age 8 I was talking about how stupid the stock market was. My Republican parents howled with laughter. All the way until this year when my mother (only surviving parent) lost 40% of her retirement income. :(

BTW, I have no idea where these thoughts came from at such an early age. No one in my family is an economist, least of all me. No one talked about banking or stocks, ever. I think I must have been reincarnated from a stockbroker or investor who lost big in the 1929 crash, or someone who lost everything when their bank closed during the depression. :shrug:
