As Chris Matthews said: You are the first candidate to really mention Katrina.

The man cares about this country, all Americans and he cares how we are perceived by the world. He is the only one still talking about Katrina and what that hurricane did to this country.

I was a resident of New Orleans for almost 14 years, I have been back since the hurricane and I can tell you first hand it's going to take a lot to get it back again. Edwards is the only candidate still talking about it, he has not forgotten.

On Edit: I was a tad bit too passionate....

1. Edwards: The first to mention Katrina
I am not surprised by that. Edwards was the only candidate who talked about poverty at the recent Sojourner's forum. He doesn't check the polls and which way the wind is blowing before he speaks out on issues but rather stands up for our principles as Democrats. He leads.

2. John Edwards is the hope of America!
I sincerely believe that. America is in a real mess and we need serious and committed leadership at this critical moment in our history. John Edwards can provide that leadership. America needs John.

3. Katrina
Didn't we all promise ourselves in the aftermath that we'd never forget? That we would work to ensure it never happened again? What happened to our resolve? Why are so few talking about what needs to be done (and there is still oh, so very much to be done there...) :(

Kicked in memoriam.

5. That reminds me of Edwards statement regarding Katrina
When he was in Europe, and opened the newspaper the headline said, Americas Shame.

4. K&R for your passion
and this wonderful video. I just got back from a short trip and the hotel I was staying at did not have MSNBC on their cable. We must find out who "owns" Country Inn Suites in NoVa? Bummer.
