1. Correct me if I am wrong
but didn't have rather frosty relations for years after the 1980 campaign?

3. Probably not. I was simply curious.
Divisive primary fights can cause hard feelings that take many years to heal.

4. Yeah, but this is President Jimmy Carter.
He holds the record for classiest, most honorable politician in history.

5. Very classy, but then again, he's a classy man.
Glad that any bad blood from 1980 disappated between the two.

11. Here is a video and statement that says President Carter & Teddy were friends:
From abc7chicago.com VIDEO -

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/video?id=6984621

and this statement:

http://www.etonline.com/news/2009/08/77941/

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn Carter are remembering Senator Edward M. Kennedy in the wake of his passing, calling him "a passionate voice."

"Rosalynn and I extend our condolences to the Kennedy family," says Carter in a statement. "Senator Kennedy was a passionate voice for the citizens of Massachusetts and an unwavering advocate for the millions of less fortunate in our country. The courage and dignity he exhibited in his fight with cancer was surpassed only by his lifelong commitment and service to his country."

And I would highly recommend his Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid to everybody!

14. Why did Kennedy run against Carter?
Carter needed all the support he could get.
