LUNTZ: They were more angry and more fearful of government than insurance companies, but not by much. And what I’m saying to people who are nervous about this health care, as I listen to the give and take, is if you don’t like the insurance companies — and most people don’t — then do you really want to add an extra layer of bureaucracy and an extra level of bureaucrats and yet another set of people who can say no to you.
During his Fox appearance, Luntz never mentioned that http://www.luntz.com/clients_overview.html|he also provides strategic advice to various health insurance companies>.
I fucking hate this asshole! He is such a sleaze. The pathetic thing is, he's effective. Every time you hear right wing talking points repeated over and over you can thank this prick. He's nothing more than a verbal alchemist turning shitty policy into gold with his push-polling. The Left needs to wake up (finally) to the fact that the general public ISN'T smart enough to see past the emotionally charged language he uses to get support for the opposite of what's in the public's best interests.
4. Don't buy it don't take it in they've distorted reality one too many times most folks want reform...

and good reform and their prepared to fight for it. There is no real alternative to this but making sure all industry is save and revitalized with cheaper fair healthcare. And not just one industry the health insurance companies draining all others. This goes from Hollywood to military industry (not that their my fave corp but if they can help all the better) to everything in between if they want their costs to lower they should be supporting this with all they have to spare. And a little ad campaign focus on Max Baucus not too pushy that it would stall him but urging him to support the right thing for all Americans we can moves this along just we wanna. Maybe all other industry can coax Max the right way with lobbying for their own best intrest of lower health costs. ALthough one townhall attendee did make a fair point we should demonize all healthcare industry and still be curtesous with whoever folks deal with when contacting them. The real issue lies with CEO and unscruplous business practices than low level people and wise to state if any grievence is the upper level people you have issue with. The reason this would be necessary some of the fight back we get from private insurance is response to how react to them, it's a lot of why the President trys most times to play a careful balancing game. He told us in his Montana town hall to go spread the truth because he does want this to work, despite what we may be led to believe contrary. check here www.tinyurl.com/montanaprez
This is exactly what he's talking about. Advertisers have made a science of crafting messages to sway people and the GOP employs these techniques daily.
