1. Excellent point.

The other night some nimrod tried to make mincemeat out of Rep. Marcia Fudge because she said she didn't read any drafts of the bill, her staff did. You could almost hear the new Republican talking point: "Uppity Black Congresswoman Leaves It To Her 'Staff' To Do Dirty Work Of Reading Bill." Well, get this, geniuses, NONE of them read every draft of every bill all by their lonesomes. She also made sure that while she might not read every word of every bill, she takes responsibility for her own vote, just as a coach takes responsibility for the team's performance despite not playing in the game and a CEO takes (or should take) responsibility for the success or failure of a company.

Really, the whole "Did you read the bill" thing is such a red herring. Mitch McChinless didn't read it either, but boy is he agin' it!

.................That's ONE of the reason for "staff" isn't it? Some of these ass holes (some Dems too) really think ALL the electorate is fucking stupid. There actually are some that can read and write and keep informed.
