DNC warns of 'doing nothing' on health in nat'l TV ad
@ 3:18 pm by Michael O'Brien

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) went after the GOP nationally on Thursday, launching a new television ad accusing Republicans of "doing nothing" to advance healthcare reform.

The ad highlights GOP figures such as Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), and Rush Limbaugh, accusing them of trying to kill healthcare reform efforts for political gain.

"The status quo that the Republican Party is championing is breaking American families, small businesses and state budgets across the nation and only stands to get far worse in the years ahead if nothing is done — as they propose," DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse said in a statement. "And still, the GOP continues to see health insurance reform as an opportunity to score a political win for their ailing party. "

The ad represents a sustained offensive for Democrats on healthcare, using Republicans' words against them to help bolster support for the reform legislation currently mired down in Congress.

The ad will air for the next two and a half weeks on network and cable stations nationally, according to the DNC.

1. Y'know, now that i think of it- not making the August 1st deadline is a blessing!
If the DNC and other groups can keep up these ad campaigns for another month and meet the hardcore push-back from the opponents of the American people.

10. Since yesterday...

...I've been working a new job where Fox Noise runs the entire time. I don't own, nor do I watch TV at home, so I don't know how the other channels do it, but, Fox is the mouthpiece for the Gibbering Old Pricks, so believe me when I tell you, they are already playing hardball. if one is to accept what they "report" as truthful, one will surely believe that the end of western civilisation is near and that the people of this country will soon be suffering under the yoke of Stalinism. The time to slap them down with a healthy dose of reality is now.

6. It's not overwhelming and easily understood.
That's EXACTLY what we need with the Republicans trying to over complicate the issue.
