...we got rid of all of this "Socialism" bullshit and let PRIVATE INDUSTRY run everything.
It's already happening with our military, some of our roads (the TOLL roads), and what USED to be our MUNICIPAL water companies. Hell, yes! Make the fire department a corporately-run enterprise! There's real money to be made here! And those stupid assholes (like me) who VOLUNTEER to be firefighters can all just stay at home. I can see it now...

Socialism, huh? How about we let the "socialistic" fire departments serve only those homes with owners who support single-payer national health care and the rest can negotiate price with the local fire departments while the structure is burning down around them. "NOW how much would you pay?" My only question is how would we handle that nasty "pre-existing condition" problem? Oh, and could we turn around and DENY coverage for whatever reason we choose?
I can't WAIT to become a FOR-PROFIT firefighter!!!
