But despite campaigns for conservation and promises to preserve the forests, they are disappearing at an alarming rate

3. Boycott Palm Oil Products
That means the processed food industry - by adding palm oil to the products we buy in those food dispensing machines, the products have more shelf life. Palm oil (a la tasty cakes, et. al.) also contributes to the obesity epidemic within the US. The people of Borneo don't produce the palm oil for their own use - they use it for the industrialized world's processed food industry.

The destruction of this habitat is why such animal species is the highly intelligent orangatans are endangered. :cry:
