I know they're screaming how they'll defect to the Repiglicans if you don't bow to them, but you just need to tell them that this isn't the 90's and the younger generations don't buy the corpratist propaganda. Also you need to threaten the blue dogs with cuts in federal money if they don't shape up.

I was really annoyed by the president's move on this point. The ONLY semi-rational justification is that he wants to appear more moderate, but based on so many other things I won't get into, I think he MORE than has that locked down (outside of the 20% of nuts who would call him a "socialist" even if he eliminated the income tax).
