3. Is Rush suggesting Hondurans can do what Americans can't do?
Why doesn't Rush go take up arms against the Secret Service and see how far that gets.

14. They are completely lost now.
For the wingnuts, Michele Bachmann is a great American. Sarah Palin's "I'm not a quitter" resignation speech was the best political speech ever given in history, and a brilliant political move that ensures her the presidency in 2012. Bill Kristol is always right. Karl Rove, who is also always right, is a moral exemplar. bush was a great president, perhaps the best ever. cheney had it all right on Iraq and torture. Clinton was a terrible president who destroyed America. FDR was a Communist. Obama is a foreign-born fascist Communist Muslim.

So yes, the wingnuts are indeed now reaching (and then immediately surpassing) new frontiers of insanity and wild-eyed dementia. And ain't it fun to watch them implode!

5. RE: Rush's Honduras Comment
Typical Republican, even willing to outsource taking "their" country back. How lazy do you have to be to do that?

Jefferson is rolling over in his grave.

7. Worst person in the world????
Anyone who can compare Barack Obama to Antichrist Hitler needs a reality check. Within five months of becoming Chancellor, Adolf Hitler had made the Nazi Party the only Party, started persecuting Jews, destroyed all civil liberties, and established concentration camps for dissidents. Militias beholden to Devil Incarnate marched the streets with impunity. The Reichstag had burned in an arson fire, and some commie (certainly innocent) was beheaded for the deed. Books were banned if they offended Nazi sensibilities, and those who ran afoul of the regime ended up incarcerated or dead if they didn't flee fast enough. Many newspapers were shut down at the behest of the Party. An example: Albert Einstein had fled Germany with the knowledge that the Nazis had placed a bounty on his life. There are no politicized youth groups attempting to shut out the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, Catholic Youth League, or the like.

Note well that much unlike Hitler, Obama has been clean of any racist or religious bigotry. Note also that Obama won a free election by a margin that leaves no doubt of its fairness. Hitler achieved power despite never getting enough votes in a free election, but instead in being appointed as someone that reactionary interests thought that they could use for their economic benefit and wouldn't cause too much trouble. The reactionary interests got their economic objectives well served, but even they found themselves powerless to contest the deeds of Hitler.

Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh are very much free; Coulter's books are still for sale, and Limbaugh is still on the air. FoX News still supplies scathing stories about the President. If such is the content of the Tea Parties, then I am content to enjoy my tea as an iced beverage in warm weather and hot in the summer. Somehow the ideological bilge of Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh would make me need a different sort of beverage.

Hint: if you can call your leader a dictator with impunity you are not in a dictatorship.

10. Yea They should know there history The Bush family has the Nazi connection!

The profitable business of war

Three new books about allegations that the president's grandfather helped the Nazis and a related $40 billion legal action by two Holocaust survivors raise uncomfortable issues for the Bush campaign.

By Ben Aris and Duncan Campbell

Sep 27, 2004 | George W. Bush's grandfather, the late U.S. Sen. Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany. The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the U.S. National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave laborers at Auschwitz and to a hum of preelection controversy. The evidence has also prompted one former U.S. Nazi-war-crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator's action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
<SNIP>
The first set of files, the Harriman papers in the Library of Congress, show that Prescott Bush was a director and shareholder of a number of companies involved with Thyssen.

The second set of papers, which are in the National Archives, is contained in vesting order No. 248, which records the seizure of company assets. What these files show is that on Oct. 20, 1942, the alien property custodian seized the assets of the UBC, of which Prescott Bush was a director. Having gone through the books of the bank, further seizures were made against two affiliates, the Holland-American Trading Corp. and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corp. By November, the Silesian-American Co., another of Prescott Bush's ventures, had also been seized.

The third set of documents, also at the National Archives, is contained in the files on IG Farben, which was prosecuted for war crimes.

A report issued by the Office of Alien Property Custodian in 1942 stated of the companies that "since 1939, these (steel and mining) properties have been in possession of and have been operated by the German government and have undoubtedly been of considerable assistance to that country's war effort."

BBC: W's grandpappy planned fascist coup of USA

Kevin says: A BBC Radio 4 investigation sheds new light on a major subject that has received little historical attention, the conspiracy on behalf of a group of influential powerbrokers, led by Prescott Bush, to overthrow FDR and implement a fascist dictatorship in the U.S. based around the ideology of Mussolini and Hitler.

2007/07/25 Document uncovers details of a planned coup in the USA in 1933 by a group of right-wing American businessmen.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/document/document_20070723.shtml
The coup was aimed at toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, (owners of Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell Hse & George Bush’s Grandfather, Prescott) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression.

Mike Thomson investigates why so little is known about this biggest ever peacetime threat to American democracy.

16. It's kind of amusing to think of teabaggers as reading books.
I don't know, they just don't seem like "bookworm" types to me. More like regular worms.

I would think the mouthpiece for the wrong wing has an ancient map to go along with his knowledge of "current" affairs.

17. There is a grain of truth in what you say.
The corporatization of America will indeed be its undoing (if it hasn't been already). What you are missing is that the republicans are so much, much worse in this (and every other) regard than the Democrats. Given the choice that we are offered, it's a no-brainer.

18. what happen to this country?
this is like crazy. Politics at a whole new level. There is zero respect for the President anymore. I think it goes back to Bill Clinton and how much the Republicans hated him and smeared him with zero respect.

At one time even if people didnt like the party or the Presidents agenda. They would still respect the office they held.

People are just off their rocker now. I think Obama needs to realize this and just push his agenda like Bush did. Screw being nice. That time is over.

I also dont care what anyone says. The main reason why there is so much crazy hate is because Obama is black.
