Why the double standard?

Are we suddenly a society of "comedy police" who will be going around to every venue where a joke is told and demand an apology whenever someone tells a joke that's in bad taste?

This all boils down to two things: The fake outrage that Repukes have perfected and the RW media that's all too happy to accommodate them.

9. It's called LATE NIGHT comedy--edgier stuff.

The humor was low, as Letterman said, but not out of place on late night comedy where the jokes are edgier--that's what the audiences want.

There is more offensive stuff on any given minute of Bill O'Reilly or Rush.

For me, I can't keep straight which of the Slutty Palin family was knocked-up.

Certainly takes the attention away from her butchery of threatened wildlife and book Banning ("Catch 22", etc.--not "Harry Potter"), etc., doesn't it?

Palin is so out of her league, it is absurd.

10. Sarah Palin the cry baby

This Letterman thing really isn't anything new. Sarah has been whining over one thing or another, ever since she took stage in the McCain campaign for the first time. It was some how the medias fault that she couldn't answer very simple questions.

A big dust up occurred last fall when McCain/Palin started claiming they were the change candidates (the real Mavericks). Obama said, that was lipstick on a pig because they agreed with Bush policies. McCain/Palin spun it and claimed Obama for calling Sarah a pig.

It is un-Presidential to always be playing the whining victim.

If a woman candidate wants to be treated equally, they need to stop asking to be treated special. Rodriguez and Spitzer aren't crying and asking for an apology.
