1. I guess they won't be getting interviews any longer - bad for ad revenue - CNBC must be rich

3. I don't watch CNBC. Who was that arrogant prick?
You know, BBC journalists can seem somewhat belligerent at times (compared to the supine American press) because they make the people they interview actually answer the questions. But this CNBC guy was wayyy out of line. He'd climbed aboard his own personal egotistical soapbox and had ceased to a reporter.

Is that this guy's particular schtick? If so, bless Barney for calling him on it.

5. The arrogant prick is Barney Frank. Sorry, Barney "there is no housing bubble" Frank aka Barney "I
don't see any problems with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae" Frank.

6. Sorry Dave (Go Habs!) but you're conflating two issues
I question the journalistic grandstanding of the unknown CNBC blowhard. Barney Frank's questionable policies vis-a-vis Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are a different issue. Don't confuse the two.

21. I don't understand how he's a blowhard, and I can't say that either of them come off very well. But
I'm a big fan of holding politicians accountable. And if that means they feel uncomforable during an interview with the media once in a while, then so be it. And btw, I've seen him treat Rush Limbaugh even worse during an interview on CNBC. (Go Leafs!).

10. That ignorant prick was Mark Hains
He's an ass. He's full of himself and he's convinced that only he knows all the answers. I'm not surprised he couldn't finish the interview. The guy can't listen to any view other than his own.

9. Obama to Freeze Oil Prices @ $80 a barrel

Take Action: FIX CNBC or it will be business as usual!

Jon Stewart helped expose the horrific job that CNBC news has been doing during the entire economic crisis. Questions have been asked if they are profiting from it.
I joined a coalition of progressives demanding that CNBC hold themselves accountable and fix this problem.
CNBC should publicly declare that its new overriding mission will be responsible journalism that holds Wall Street accountable. As a down payment, we ask you to hire some new economic voices – people who have a track record of being right about the economic crisis and holding Wall Street executives’ feet to the fire.
Cramer took a beating from Jon Stewart because he had no defense against his actions or the actions of the entire CNBC network.

As soon as Jim Cramer went back to work on Mad Money, he openly mocked The Daily Show by playing a video clip of his appearance on The Daily Show and substituted a clip of Martha Stewart. That shows you how seriously he took Stewart's whole argument. It's just "Business as Usual" with these people. The media barely mentioned one of the most talked about TV spots of the year. Why? Big money, that's why. And Cramer's actions only prove that point

Holy Greedy Fucks Batman, CNBC are as bad as Fox Nuts and CNN is joining in. The Politically Motivated Wealth that the Bush administration brought to these Greedy Fucks has been cut off, they are Pissed and want the old screw-em when you can BushCo back. They want back the Ken Lay’s of the world, pump and pump more out of every American and foreigner as much as they can. They want another bubble, hit the federal reserve again, just like bank robbers without guns and even less justice or arrests.

Obama to Freeze Oil Prices @ $80 a barrel to stop the inflated gas prices, the last of the tricks in Wall Streets bag of tricks.

Mark Haines is about the most liberal person there. At least, he used to be. Fox Business has destroyed CNBC.

27. While MSNBC adds Maddow and Schultz, CNBC goes further right and radical.
Pathetic war mongering GE-NBC consortium. Alliliated with all things vile - the war mongering PNAC, Tri-Lateral, Federalist Society, AIPAC, Wall Street thief supporting consortium.

I totally dismiss FOX as hopeless. CNN also. I am particularly upset about NBC - it used to be a satisfactory NEWS network. It was taken over and ruined for vile objectives.

16. Kicked and recommended for the near lost art of interviewers
asking questions and then shutting the hell up and listening instead of trying to make the news, in the same way professional wrestling makes sports.

Thanks for the thread, Turborama.

when she appears on MSNBC and spews her free marketeer bilge. Pen these turds up at CNBC. If there have to be maniacs, at least keep them in the asylum.

If they already knew what the answers were WHY ask Rep. Frank? Mr. Hanes was very rude.

23. To ridicule him in front of their gullible and bigoted audience.
It excites them and makes them feel powerful.

Every Dem and progressive who goes on these shows can learn from Frank. If they stop putting up with this crap, they'll eventually earn more respect. That fact that Frank is gay is a bonus. This makes him "sub-human" in the minds of a large segment of their audiences' minds, thus making it easier for them to spew their propaganda by reassigning all of the blame for the economic meltdown from their gluttonous "free market" heroes onto the gay Democrat.
