Her Semi-final performance for those who missed it..

I can't stand American Idol or any of the other so-called reality series.

If they had more people with real talent like her it'd be worth watching

It happens. Every performer knows the drill. I cried a lot again today hearing that Susan is erraaa..."voluntarily taking some days off." Last I read her family had NO ACCESS to her. She's scheduled to go on an 18 date tour June 12. Bitte NICHT. May brother Gerry have the sense given a billy goat and pull her OUT of that bullshit.

100 million watched her first performance. Each person was touched (or not) for her/his own reasons. I understand mine much better now. Life killed the dream I dreamed and today I JUST SO WANT HER to get what SHE wants from her talent and being.

I also so want that she NOT be chewed up and spit out by the likes of Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan.

5. Someone said she'd been sick that week. I think that Disney - yes, I hate them -

should sign her for voices, spoken and sung. She actually has a terrific speaking voice for kids stuff.

An album of liturgical/Christmas music might also be nice as it's in her comfort zone. She'd do a great "Oh Holy Night," stuff like that.

4. In a roundabout way, yes

Democracy has something to do with the common man (or woman) being sufficient to rise to greatness in all manner of endeavors, not just politics. All it should take to be a good singer is a good voice. Susan Boyle looks like your maiden aunt, but she has a better voice than many well promoted (and overrated) pop stars whose talents are probably better suited for a spread in Playboy magazine.

I am old enough to remember Kate Smith, the pop diva who made God Bless America famous. She was a better singer than Susan Boyle, which is saying something, and she had the figure of a beach ball. She had a television show in the early days of television, but it was probably her good fortune to have lived when mass media referred to radio.

I have never had a serious relationship with any woman to whom I would give first prize in beauty contest. There's more to a person than that.
