I know this is a promotional video. But I am posting it here to show that Detroit really is thinking ahead.

2. Ummmm... No
Nobody has plug-in hybrids on the road even now.

But I know how popular it is to bash American cars here on DU.

3. Ever since at least 2004, you could buy plug-in kits after-market from third-parties. n/t

4. But how many
True plug-in hybrids are on the market now? And how many bought those kits? A few hundred?

Do you have the same level of disdain for Honda and Toyota over this?

5. Yes, I absolutely hold Toyota and Honda to the same standard.
Installing a plug-in kit voids their warranties.

They should be selling and installing them themselves.

6. Ummmm... No
Right- not since 1998 when Saturn/GM manufactured the EV1, the fully electric plug-in AND actually had 1000's leased and on the roads in California AND Arizona and the whole line of electric cars was killed by some nameless CEO at General Motors... and every single car was crushed and shredded by GM.

Not since THEN has "nobody has plug-in hybrids on the road even now".

The technology is here- but big oil and their friends won't have it!
