Great coverage of the Baucaus 8 that you didn't see anywhere on TV (expect the ED Show.)

The bought-off politicians, the drug companies, and the insurance company lobbyists think they have fixed the debate and single payer is "off the table."

They are wrong. WE THE PEOPLE are putting it back on the table.

Single Payer in 2009. YES WE CAN!

Get involved in the fight for real health care reform.

Not for profit Medicare for all. Everybody in, nobody out. Everythings covered and no out of pocket expenses.

2. How outstanding it would be, if we the people actually prevailed in this one.
Big Pharma, Ins. companies, corrupt politicians...
What a glorious day it would be, if those in need were victorious over these opportunist vampires.
Do I seem cynical?

4. This is the issue that can turn around the country
The people's victory on single payer would re-energize this country.

Single Payer is change we can believe in.

This is an issue that we can win. The power elite have had to invest for 20 years to prevent a win on single payer and the reason is because Americans want it, it saves money, and it's the moral thing to do.

Single Payer in 2009. Yes we can. Single Payer. Yes we will.

6. Perfectly stated
When this hill is climbed what wouldn't be possible? Perhaps.........dream sequence starting................. education reform, high speed rail, wind-tidal-solar, reduction in "defense" spending, return of fairness doctrine, mandatory public campaign financing, end to tax shelters and loopholes, end to tax deferment for religious facilities, no littering, expansion of national park system, collective bargaining for all, mandatory vacations, respect for seniors, mortgage financing for energy efficient housing, mandatory public pre-marital counseling, legal/law enforcement system reformation, open borders, water usage regulation, death with dignity, revaluation of work ethic, worldwide population growth control, warp drive......waking up now.........
When single payer health care is the law of the land then ANYTHING is possible.

14. Comments from Single Payer Advocate John Russell On Ed Schultz YouTube Videoon SinglePayer!
Comments from Single Payer Advocate John Russell On Ed Schultz YouTube Videoon SinglePayer!

John Russell, 2006-2008 PDA Nationally Endorsed Florida Congressional District 5 Nominee commenting on the absolute nonsense :puke: expressed by Senator Stabenow regarding their treatment of Single Payer representation at this Senate Finance Committee Meeting!

Here is Russell addressing Teabaggers April 15th and selling them on Single Payer Health Care! Russell has got the problem completely figured out. He understands the solution and that is to completely reform our election system and get the stinking CORPORATE $$$$MONEY$$$ OUT OF IT! www.johnrussellforcongress.com Click on Count Your Vote Yes We Can!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
John Russell on Stabenow: :nuke:

Debbie Stabenow IS FOS! Visit john russell for congress usual punctuation mark followed by the usual C the O and then the M and click on health care. The "HOW" has been described here for the past 3-4 years now.

Stabenow calls the Finance Comm hearing "unfortunate." There was NUTHING "unfortunate" about it! The powers that be understand that if they blatantly EXCLUDE then the protesters will come and this will harm credibility of SingPayerHealth Advocates. This was TOTALLY PLANNED!

THE DEMOCRATS as Stabenow presenting herself as a PRIME example of such are just as BOUGHT AND PAID FOR as the Republicans! THIS IS JUST A "LEAGUE" WITH THE DEMS VS THE REPUBS as a mere diversion from the fact that both "TEAMS" are working for the same set of BENEFACTORS!

BOTH "TEAMS" as is witnessed here are working for Corporate America. In this case the health INSURANCE Division!

Senator Stabenow: We do NOT want National Health INSURANCE... We are advocating for A National Single Payer Health Care Plan... Whereby we the citizens CHOOSE whether we want to KEEP our company health insurance coverage or opt for the National Medicare for ALL Alternative.

Where we pay a progressively priced fee based on our income with a cap on the MAX that ANYONE would pay. The poor would be subsidized and EVERY patient would be a PAYING patient!

Where I work, case managers tell me that the numbers of "self pay" patients are increasing dramatically, threatening hospital/health care provider financial viability.

What IS a "self payer?" A patient without health insurance, without any means to pay their bills.

Company provided health insurance that Senator Stabenow is so "concerned" about harming is quickly becoming an anachronism!

Senator Stabenow... Protector of Insurance Companies and HMO's! :puke:

5. Just imagine
Never having to worry about healthcare. Not having to look at your checking account balance before heading to the doctor's office or the hospital. Most countries in the world, even the ones with far fewer resources made this happen for their citizens. But not here.

The only thing stopping us from getting single payer is listening to the bought-off politicians and the corporate media telling us - it's not feasible.

The American people decides what's feasible, and we're putting it back on the table.

Single Payer in 2009. YES WE CAN.

8. We need a cure for greedy corporatist pigs and Blue Dogs like Baucus.
It is more clear than ever how irrelevant the difference between Democrats and Republicans really is when you get to see the same games played again and again.

Baucus knows that he has the support of big money and membership in the players club in order for him to be so insensitive.

If more brave souls would stand up like the ones here, and if that fails, especially when the media diminishes it, or the elected officila ignore them, we must all stand up by demanding single payer or simply refuse to work anyone other than ourselves any more.

Passive resistance is a liberating thing, it's just too bad that Americans rarely get out to do any.

10. knr - link to Harvard Poll mentioned...
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/press-releases/2008-releases/poll-americans-split-by-political-party-over-socialized-medicine.html

"..."No doubt some Republicans will continue to use the words 'socialized medicine' to attack Democratic health care proposals before and after this November's elections, but these attacks are unlikely to do much damage," says Humphrey Taylor, Chairman of The Harris Poll®. "Only just over one third of adults think that socialized medicine would be worse than what we have now, and majorities associate the words with popular policies such as Medicare and a government guarantee that everyone has health insurance. Clearly socialized medicine is not the scary bogeyman it used to be."

Q. So far as you understand the phrase, do you think that if we had socialized medicine in this country that the health care system would be better or worse than what we have now?*"

Overall

Better - 45

Worse - 39

13. If the people can intimidate the blue dogs and corporatists to WIN on single payer health care...
... it probably not only will help us with health care, but on many other issues that are "pay to play" right now...

If the polititicians realize that the people are fed up enough as they are in single payer health care, that their threat of retaliation against pols that don't do what they ask causes them to go against corporate lobbyists' will to vote for the people on this one issue (single payer), that same fear can also be used for us on other issues that need attention as well, and if enough of these issues can be brought to bear fruit, perhaps ultimately the big prize of pushing for public campaign financing will also help.

Single payer health care is a great place to start though, as it is the one issue that the corporatists are fighting so hard against the will of the American people, and is also the one issue that so many Americans are now aware of and emotional about. If we can win here, we can win other places, and will have the people less fearful of speaking out on what they feel about other corporatist influence too.

Let's really hit the streets hard for this issue!
