4. I'd go along with a pardon if most everybody who's in jail also got a pardon

and was released back into society with a public scolding.

If torture is legal, so is murder and the selling of drugs. If torturers can be pardoned so can murderers and drug sellers.

If these crimes are not prosecuted then it seems to me every person in jail should appeal their case to the Supreme Court on the basis that if someone else is allowed to get away with a crime, their crime is nullified.

Open up the jails and let everyone free. If they truly believe in "freedom" then we have the freedom to kill and sell drugs (and do drugs). All laws are prosecuted or no laws. Everyone suffers the penalties or no one.
