In a sad attempt to gather waning support, the wingnuts continue to fuel fear and paranoia in the right wing of their party. And we wonder why folks go crazy on the far right. They need to take a break from that Fox TV and go walk off that anger from their own party's inability to function.

2. What's threatening is the call to arms not tea bagging.
Hell I bet somewhere in the country every day there is tea bagging going on and I don't think Obama gives a holy hell. But the folks buying guns because they are paranoid should scare everyone.

3. This is so bizarre...

...a faux news led revolt against the presidency. Meanwhile Obama basks in deliciously high approval ratings.

This whole thing is nothing more than the 20%-ers going off the deep end in a desperate attempt at making themselves think they actually believe in something. The more weird shit like this they do, the less substantive they show themselves to be.

4. You know, setting yourself on fire is a first amendment right. Freedom of expression
I say you should exercise it as you protest those high taxes that somebody else might have to pay.

5. These people really do live in their own world.
They really think the WH is threatened by these dumbass teabagging parties? These things are a complete joke. The Republicans are a complete joke. Faux News is a complete joke! I can't believe thy actually believe the things that come out of their mouths.

And the Obama administration does not like any kind of dissent? When did the Bush administration ever invite Democrats over to take part in policy conversations while the Republicans controlled congress? When did the Bush administration show the Democrats an inkling of respect? Obama gives them more voice than they could possibly deserve and they lob complaints of stifling dissent his way? What is he supposed to do while these assholes play obstructionist on EVERY SINGLE THING CONGRESS DOES?!?!? Obama should put them in their place and move ahead with everything he was elected to do. Let them have their teabagging parties. The only threat they present is that I might get a stomach ache from laughter.

7. That report was done last year, No? And Obama has not mentioned it or the Teabaggers
Anyway, whenever the report was written, it was not written by Obama or even requested by him. And those compiling it are all Obama appointees? I don't think so.

So explain how that complete silence translates into suppression of descent and mortal fear of teabaggers?

Really pitiful.

8. Beck has people like my 71 year old mother hoping Obama gets assasinated.
What happened to people's sense of reason? They ae just listening to histerics and believing without rational thinking. When Bush became president in 2004 I was depressed for months (especially knowing that the election was stolen by the people in charge of the electronic voting machines). I didn't want to pay taxes for a war I didn't believe in or support a president illegally elected but I just closed my eyes and hoped 2008 came fast and got busy fighting for Obama when the time came. I would never think I needed to arm and fight for my position. These people are real crazy and if they get out of hand Fox News and all the supporters should realize that they are inspiring these crazies. The republicans should be ashamed of thenselves for using these people(far right extremists) again to do their dirty work!

12. That's why Fox is like Rwanda's radio 'Libre des Milles Collines'...
The radio station that incited the genocide against the Tutsis. I don't understand why the White House doesn't order the station to be shut down. Fox is a national security threat. Hugo Chavez had a tv station shut down because they gave air time to coup plotters, but that was 3 years after a coup against him had failed! Obama shouldn't wait until something like that happens to him. Fox is calling for an overthrow of the democratically elected president government of the US. That's treason. They should be arrested. And people like Michelle Bachmann ought to be, too.

If anything happens to Obama, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Bachmann are responsible.

15. The average right wing extremist who listens to fox is over 60
Edited on Tue Apr-14-09 11:50 PM by Juche
I agree, Fox and other right wing outlets are starting to engage in behavior like inciting riots and treason. I don't care if they disagree with our positions, but they are starting to call for violent revolution and they need to be held accountable.

But the people who watch these shows are generally old people who are scared of the outside world, not people in the prime of their health with weapons training. O'Reilly's viewers are an average of 71, Hannity's listeners are 67 and I think median age for Fox News viewers is 65. I'm not too worried about a few thousand geriatric shut-ins committing an armed rebellion against the US military and the 69 million of us who voted for Obama. But one of them could easily assassinate a few politicians, so that is a serious risk.

There is a risk that as the economy worsens right wing hate groups will start recruting ex-soldiers from Iraq & Afghanistan. If that happens, then we have a problem because thousands of trained soldiers who want to overthrow the gov can do some damage (even though they'll fail). But if it is just elderly shut ins listening to this crap I'm not too worried about open revolt. Assassination however, yeah that is a serious risk.

18. Remember the church shooting?
The shooter said he targeted a liberal church, because he couldn't get to Edward Kennedy and other prominent liberal politicians. And just last week, some young man went on a shooting spree, because he believed the president was going to take away his guns. There's a video about that by Media Matters that was posted on DU. There only has to be one loon...

10. Fox news should be on Saturday morning to compete with cartoons.
Amazing how they keep making up poop and the next day they slurp their faces clean of the poop and repeat, repeat, repeat.

11. It's so Orwellian it's not funny anymore.
"This administration is afraid of any kind of dissent"? Where the hell *were* these people the last 8 years? Everything they say applied to Bush's administration, and they used to support that. They are literally erasing the past, substituting the existing reality for a new reality; a reality in which that past has never existed. It's literally what happened in 1984. And the fact that so many believe it and participate in those teabag rallies, prove that Orwell was not just a fiction writer, but a visionair. Sadly, conservatives have been reading the book like an instruction manual.

14. Well, I do hope they infiltrate them
and and entrap them in home-grown-terrorist plots and illegal gun sales. Look what happened in Minneapolis at the GOP convention. Look what happened to Amy Goodman for god's sake? Those protesters had not even left their homes and they were raided and treated very abusively. What goes around comes around. I seriously believe they are dangerous Aryan Nation goons financed by freaks with billions of dollars for astro-turf projects.

How will they spin that? What if it becomes clear that Obama is not taking away any guns? Who will they be mad at?

17. Nobody is EVER going to climb on board Murdoch's 'revolution' in large numbers.
Just like Venezuela and just like recent events in Thailand - when the going gets tough the people behind the movement stay in the shadows and don't lead.

Who's their icon? King? Gandhi? Mandela?

20. they blatantly lie about what's really going on - sickens me they get away with it, but
it's people's dumb brains that have them believing the lies. faux noise channel does not talk about the good things going on and makes up ridiculous controversies to stir malicious anger to the govt. these people are scaryeeeyyy. yes, this adm. doesn't do everything it should be doing, no way, but, they're being undermined with false facts being pushed by faux noise.
