Hitchens is pretty misguided politically - but here he deals with an obnoxious, unimaginative, dogmatic theist asking questions that not only has Hitchens already thought about and answered extensively in his book, but don't even begin to plumb the depths of interesting thoughts on religion.

The clash of cringing, conformist, uninformed dogmatism with angry erudition is amusing and well worth a listen.

Apologies to my theist friends here - I sympathize with you, and this guy is a terrible representation of religious people of good will.

for as long as he did. The idiot kept changing the subject, making ridiculous assumptions about thoughts being the same as deeds (they aren't, or the commandments would have specified both), and talking over him.

I can think of no other reason than the necessity of killing a few minutes of an excruciatingly dull day that would have provoked Hitchens to slog on through this thing, drunk or sober.
