NOTE: My GF just received this email response from her Republican friend (her dad is a die-hard Rush Limbaugh listener BTW) after my GF sent her the above TYT clip. Enjoy, and since I'm about to head out the door, feel free to write your response as a comment!

"Hannity is just an idiot. My dad even says he wouldn't be surprised if Hannity loses his job. He has got it out for Obama and has lost all perspective. As for Huckabee , its sad b/c when his show first started he was not biased, it was more educational not viewpoints/commentary. But Hannity is not a news broadcaster, he does a commentary, he is classified as a "sindicated conservative talk show host" and "pundit", this is different than Fox News "Headquarters"(example). Just like Kieth Oberman, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow are classified as a "Liberal commentary Hosts" . Cable news stations have been "increasingly liberal, particularly in its (MSNBC) primetime line up". Source: Wikipedia So has FOX (Beck, Huckabee, Hannity)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSNBC

and other stations screw up too.http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2009/03/11/chris-matthews-grills-ari-fleischer-enemy-state

I still believe O'Reilly attacks everyone he disagrees with (both sides). I can find many clips where he goes against both.

I wish someone can go on air with no one accusing them of political bias, but they give their opinions and viewpoints on all the topics and you decide what you agree with and what you don't. Not automatically hating someone b/c of the channel or the party. Before I got into politics and didn't know stations had their own biases I started watching O'Reilly b/c he was not being politically correct or kissing asses (Bill Maher too) and I liked listening to both of them, again not knowing their political party. I didn't know the stereotypes of rep and dem yet. I liked it better then. I could listen to both and not judge them. Ignorance really was bliss b/c I was listening with an open mind. Acutally picture life not knowing any stereotype of a party (I think your too deep in that you can't).

Just write down your view, about money, immigrants, civil rights, enviornment ect. We would each answer differently yet somehow we are put into 2 parties, black and white, no gray area. Don't let someone you like (or hate) influence you to be for or against something. Ex. I hate Keith Oberman so much it is hard for me to listen and not want to dismiss everything he says but that is not right. Same thing for you and Glen Beck but on the other end we can't think Obama is so great and that he is getting every thing right. The minute someone agrees with him on EVERYTHING (including his wife) then that person is kidding themselves and are delusional and to Hannity's defense even though he probably doesn't deserve one, he is desperate for someone on the left to disagree or even at least question a decision Obama makes, it would be more realistic."

12. Can Congress take any action against these domestic terrorists? Yes, I mean it...
Edited on Tue Apr-07-09 06:05 PM by pauldg0
....isn't this treason among st other things?

There should be a bill written to remove this treasonous disinformation that could weaken our nation. I mean that weasel Hannity omitted the rest of the meaning of that part of his speech which happened to be beautiful.

I mean they all (Fox people) do that over there. This is not journalism, this is a weapon that thrusts a sword right through the heart of this nation when we are already vulnerable.

The average "Joe" does not know a fricken thing about what is going on in this world and then they listen to Fox News in their underwear before dinner every night to make them even dumber and even more militant yet.

I say take them(Fox)on now!! Can our friend Dennis K. start rattling some chains over there in Congress? How was McCarthy finally exposed? Wouldn't it be done in a similar way?

13. Sure. Who needs the first amendment?
Disagreeing with Bush was patriotic. Disagreeing with Obama is treason. This sounds an awful lot like right-wingers in reverse.

I think this is disgusting as well but I absolutely support the right to do it. I also support the attacks they earn in response. But I will not call it treason. That sounds a lot like the claims the right-wing made that liberals were unpatriotic during the Bush years. When people on the left start sounding like people on the right there is a problem.

19. Your point is understood and well received.....

....I thought that a response similar to yours would arrive in my in-box, but it seems that something is fundamentally wrong with America when we have people like Rupert Murdoch pulling the strings of their puppet employees. O.K., it took years of Republican control to get what we have now, so it's up to this administration to come to terms with it.

I noticed there have been many responses comparing K.O. with O'Reily and Rachel with Beck and you know our liberal side seems to make sense but their people seem truly out of kilter and on the verge of madness. You see, I was a Republican leaning individual up to eight years ago when I started seeing the craziness on Fox.

The Republican Party is either on a mission of self-destruction or going to rile up the ranks of the Arizona or Michigan Militia types across this land.

I ask this question too....Without disturbing our Freedom of Press, could Congress force these humongous newspapers to split into many smaller & diverse in viewpoint Companies? This way many would write what they want instead of what Rupert wants.

Sounds like a pipe dream I guess?

14. I hope Hannity becomes more of a target for Stewart and Colbert. He should be satirically
pilloried every day.

16. Well, in Hannity's defense: the second part of the speech was bullshit anyway.
I mean, Obama criticizing Europe for being anti-American? Instead, Europe should be praising America for all the good it does in the world instead of blaming it for the bad things it does? Which good thing has America done in the world the past 8 years, Mr. Obama? (Wasn't much to begin with before Bush, though.) Should we thank America for invading Iraq or Afghanistan? Or for supporting Ariel Sharon's murderous regime in Israel? So if America does things that are wrong, we should not blame it, Mr. Obama? That sounds a lot like Sean Hannity.

20. K&R. Um, as has often been said here,
O'Reilly, Hannity, etc., on FIXED News are "opinion" shows, not news shows, as those on MSNBC and CNN are supposed to be, though some succeed more than others. Too many FAUX viewers make that mistake and take what these RW pundits spew forth as facts. It wouldn't take much digging, but that audience doesn't look for answers, just swallows the RW talking points whole. :-(

22. Two things
1. Who could hate Keith Olbermann?

2. Anyone who thinks Liberals aren't questioning Obama's actions and those of his cabinet are either a) not paying attention or b) loyal Fox viewers. I'm pretty damn Liberal and have questioned MANY of the things I've seen. His inner circle reads like a who's who list of Conservadems, his "Justice" Dept seems to be following the same path as the Bushies, he is escalating in Afghanistan foolishly, and his idea of us leaving Iraq is to "leave" 50,000 people there.

What's not to qurstion?
