Honestly, Larry Linville's performance as Burns has a prescient quality to it as though the actor had a tv tuned to 2000-2009 CNN. The narrow lipped pout, the giggle, the petulance, the little-boy swagger...it's all Bush. If M*A*S*H were being filmed now, they'd tell Linville to stop parodying the (p)resident.

She was a PITA but her heart was in the right place, more often than not, and she had her vulnerable side. Frank was just worthless, nothing but a foil for the enlightened Hawkeye and Trapper. I believe some episodes made it clear that Frank was a Republican, with fascist leanings.
