House Minority Whip Eric Cantor appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday, where he suggested that the Obama administration's reversal of stem cell rules this week is a distraction, and said the administration had been disingenuous on earmarks.

5. Can anyone explain why so many Repubs are given so much
time on the TV shows?

The Dems are the ones in power. Why aren't they on the shows with lots of time to explain their plans?

9. Maybe because the rethugs own the corporations that
provide the "news"? I also really think it's engrained in these shows and people after the past 8 years. It's what they do and all that they know.

6. What an asshole.
People have been waiting a long time, and have died waiting, for treatments and cures from stem cell research.

Now if only he would develop diabetes, or become paralyzed, or get Alzheimer's, he might understand. These things have to happen personally to repukes before they get this fact through their tiny, little, squeezed, closed brains.

13. Chairman of the Comittee of Terroism and Unconventional Warfare.
I think that says it all for Mr. Cantor.

Repating Mr. Jundel's train from Disneyland to Las Vegas.

This guy is trying to foment a Civil War to divide the U.S. into more manageable pieces. This idiot Cantor is the kind of infected, impacted pathologic cancer that needs to be removed asap.

14. KATIE COURIC RULES!!!!
Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. I miss those days, even though it was really just one day played over and over again, where you could see an interview with a follow up question. I wish reporters would start doing that again. Instead, today we are stuck with assholes like this guy who ask questions and completely allow the person to completely avoid the answer. It is so frustrating to see so many questions not being answered, without an iota of concern from the interviewer.

15. Because the most irrelevant and insultated people in the US
own the media. These people haven't stepped outside the bubble in years, and they are holding the ideological reigns. If it gets fixed, the people with the cash will have to be ignored, and that's not how the system works.

17. You know, he might be right...
I think that the Republican spin machine/phone tree can only effectively deal with one issue at a time. That's the problem when you rely on propaganda; you can only catapult one idea at a time, because it takes all of your resources to plant a single lie.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Obama Administration knew and was counting on this... They have so many different assaults going on that the Christo-fascists and the corporate elite can't agree which way to turn.

19. Hey, here's a clue, Eric. It's delicious and good for you.
Embryonic stem cells are a key issue, one that gets to whether this great land of ours is a republic or a theocracy. Because it takes a special kind of fanatical -- or slackminded -- theocratic boneheadedeness to conclude that a blastocyst is a human being, with human rights.
