Rep. Cohen is wrong. Bush was not elected by the People! So, the "every four year" record was broken on Junta Day, 200.12.12.

27. difference: now he can issue subpoenas & justice will enforce
If I remember correctly, Mukasey refused to enforce the democratic majority in congress' subpoenas. Before that, conyers didn't even have power to issue subpoenas, so he could only have informal hearings with witnesses willing to show up.

21. Whitewashing at the Whitehouse
Interesting thing about whitewash. It's basically a mixture of powdered lime and water

In ancient times it was used on graves to kill the stench of decaying corpses. Hence the term "Whitened Sepulchres".

In Victorian times,it was used to paint the pig pens to help control the stench.

How appropriate the term "whitewashing' is used in reference to control and mask the corruption and rot festering beneath the pristine, white exterior.

22. I am now canceling my Discovery Chanell subscribtion
just to listen to your prose. Please, now tell us about the Phoenecians! (jus' funnin', snark off!) Soon or later the Corporate News Memo Machine will be forced to cover this! I know they HATE to, because they're neck deep in complicity of enabling Bush/Cheney, but that's just tough tittie, now isn't it? Thanks for the trivia, Jambalaya.

On with it Congress! DO YOUR JOB NOW! There is a HB addressing the concerns, and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to follow the law on behalf of the people of this nation!

Once and for all.....investigate these matters and put them to rest....and hopefully the goons of the last administration behind bars where they belong.

9. Meanwhile, the statutes of limitations begin expiring before this can pass!
March is when a limit passes on wiretapping, I heard.

15. We need to push Specter to end hold of Eric Holder.
This is the first step. We need to get Holder confirmed first, then we can accomplish something. But the asshole repugs are delaying him (John Corn-hole too) because they are wetting their pants. They know Obama's AG pick will kick some repug ass--and this is good. Kick ass, take names later.

17. Just emailed my conman
who is one of the staunchest Republicans in the House. Told him he should support and sponsor this resolution as it was the way to "clear the air" about the Bush Administration. I said it that way so he couldn't shoot me back an email saying he felt it was going to be a witch hunt or something like that. Should be interesting to read his response.

25. William Greider once pointed out that the Americans hold their politicians in contempt.
What some people don't understand is, Greider said; the feeling is mutual.

We think they're crooks, they think we're morons who will buy any line of shit they send down the pike, and judging by what W. & Co. got away with, I'd say they're probably right.

24. Sad that Cohen feels he has to tutor his colleagues on justice.
I mean, in the House of Representitives it has to be explained to them that people who break the law have to be brought to justice?

What kind of dumbasses are these knuckleheads?

26. I still say we need
The UN to prosecute. It would give President Obama a chance to still do what he wants and go forward instead of back. Let the world judge. This war on terror was worldwide so let the world handle it. One less expense for us too. And while the trial is going on put a cage in Ground Zero and put Bush/Cheney and the rest in it and let people spit on them or throw shoes. Back to the scene of the crime.
