It is good that President Elect Obama laid a wreath at Arlington today as part of his inauguration, but we cannot forget the walking dead Iraq Vets among us. This pretty much says it all in a very short clip.

6. WOW
You know, I can't help but thinking how the anti-choice crowd are usually the biggest supporters of war, even encouraging war and how they love to show those "partial birth abortions" and other graphic videos to try and force women never to have an abortion. I wonder, why don't we take the graphic videos of war, showing soldiers killing families, children and anyone that is in "the wrong place, at the wrong time", and force those who are so pro-war to watch those videos and then force them to talk to real soldiers who are represented in that video. Do you think they might stop thinking so highly of killing other human beings?

Great video. Thank you for posting it.

7. Confession of an Iraqi Vet
This clip brings to light many issues about the pain so many of our vets go thru alone. They have been abandoned by the government that sought their service so earnestly. Full of promises of a quick victory and support when the vets returned home. Full of lies.

This looks to be an important movie. And Ben Browder is an amazing actor.

8. THE ANTI-ANYTHING CROWD IS MENTALLY CHALLENGED.
I'm not sure there is any hope for these brian dead wackos. Their "one" issue voters who only care about either the government taking their guns, or the democrats are killing babies, or not willing to get the terrorists. Now, some came to their senses and voted "Dem" this cycle, but they are a minority (thank god for small wonders) group of freaks who don't give a damn about soldiers getting killed in a war.

When I say mentally challenged, I mean they are not as educated as the majority. I don't mean stupid, but specifically lacking any "common" standard of reasoning, or logic. They're stuck in their way of thinking, and are too stubborn or selfish to modify that thinking. They are easily manipulated, and allow themselves to be manipulated.

Its sad.

If we were an industrialized European country, we would not have suffered through 8-years off hell.

10. The youtube link says:
"A scene from "Freeze Frame", a feature film to be directed by Galit McCord."

We’ve waited a very long time for something like this. Fans of Ben Browder (Farscape, Stargate SG1) have over the past few days received the welcome news that soon (hopefully) we will have Ben gracing our screens and thus ending the dry spell.

What’s known at this time is that Freeze Frame is currently in pre-production, with plans to start filming later this year. Directed by Galit McCord. You can watch a promotional teaser on YouTube, posted by Jonas613:

The story is about two vets… one from Vietnam, and the other from Iraq. One considered a success, the other a failure. Ben plays a convict who is imprisoned for robbery, with an unloaded gun. His attempt at being killed over his guilt. The Vietnam vet makes an Academy award winning documentary about him. When Ben gets out of prison he comes to kill the documentarian, but what he wants is to be killed, as does the documentarian.

12. Ben Browder's new movie
Edited on Mon Jan-19-09 05:05 PM by peacelvr
Thank you for the welcome!

I'm new to political boards because the Bush administration made me feel helpless, usually followed by the fear that my head might explode from anger and frustration. But times are changing and now we can move forward to heal our country's wounds. I hate the way our vets have been betrayed by the broken promises of Bush and his cronies. I'm a huge Ben Browder fan and I'm looking forward to this movie. Not just because it's Ben, but because of the conversations that the clip has already inspired. This looks like a movie that will have much to say. Much that the country needs to hear.

the damage that George Bush has heaped on this world.

I knew he would do damage, but he has exceeded my worst fears.

14. Ben Browder - The Confession of an Iraqi Vet
It was upsetting, chilling and very, very moving. Walking in our misdast are living casualties and the worst part is this is nothing new; humanity has been doing this to itself for millenia. Please God when will we learn? There's got to be a better way than war if only we could all agree on that.
