1. I agree
He wasn't quite saying what she expected him to say.

She did a good job; it would have rendered me speechless.

2. That was like watching a badly translated kung fu movie.
The mouths and words weren't synched. Hard to tell what was awkward--the disjointed nature of it made it hard to tell.

What did Webb say, or not say, that was so surprising?

I didn't hear him cheerleading torture, he just said it's not a good way to get info, that the info isn't reliable and the methodology taints it.

The guy favors a very strong national defense, he's a former SECNAV after all. He's also a former Republican and a retired Marine. I didn't find his comments surprising, given his history.

4. WTF??? "Significant percentage of people in this country..."
...still believe Saddam Hussein had connections to al Qaeda?

Listen to Sen. Webb at 9'06"

Is he saying that since a "significant percentage" of Americans still believe this canard that an investigation and prosecution of those Bushistas who okayed torture won't happen? Since when does mob ignorance trump logic and reason with regard to jurisprudence?

An awfully lot of "uhs"..."sortas"...and "you knows" from both Maddow and Webb. A lot of dancing around the topic. Why can't they just come out a say it: "Bush/Cheney okayed torture as US policy and this is a war crime."

6. The same justification offered by you, Sen Webb
would merit torturing YOU for vital information.

Because we might get something useful, but it doesn't really
matter if we don't because it was a shot in the dark anyway.
It would be unfortunate that we couldn't prosecute, but what the hell,
it was never about that anyway, in your brain, was it?

In in the end, the fact that a human being was tortured just
doesn't seem to factor anywhere into your philosophy, Mr. Webb.

Yet you were given the grave responsibility of oversight!
It is time for you to go, sir. Just pack your fucking bags.
It is a great disgrace that you have brought on our country,
to Virginia, and to yourself.
For you obviously don't get it, and will never get it.

Just find another planet to inhabit, your day is fucking over.

8. Watch it at least twice

Torture is an 'error', he implied that at least three times.
Very disappointing and he knew even before the interview started
