i found this clip from the young turks from back in 2006 and it struck me as... well... fucking awesome!!

i'm confused. why is this not on the front page? usually the videos i post go straight to the front page. maybe my browser is doing something wierd, i don't know. but... i'm confused.

8. Unfortunately there is a 3 day rule for videos here. In order to appear on the front page...

the video must have been posted on youtube within the last 72 hours.

On the plus side it I guess it keeps people from posting a zillion videos (which would be annoying because nothing would stay on the front page long enough to get any traction/views/recs). OCD posters have tried to argue that not having a video on the homepage doens't make a difference, but that's complete BS. It makes a HUGE difference. O

At any rate, 3 days is pretty strict. Personally it'd be nice to see that limit extended by at least a day or two, but maybe that's just me.

thanks for that. i didn't know that. so even if a video as old as this gets tons and tons of K&Rs it won't go anywhere? if that's so, maybe that part of the 3 day rule should be changed up a little. i understand the purpose of the rule but... it's a bit strict.

And with all due respect to his co-host, 43% of Americans should NEVER have thought Saddam was linked to 9/11. But since the news media carried water for Bush, they did. The media should not have done a "responsible" job of debunking what they previously reported, they should have gone hog, fucking, wild considering the ramifications of this erroneous belief.

connection and buried the bits and pieces of truth in the deepest pages of the papers--if in fact the truth was even reported at all, which of course it wasn't until long after the war had been deliberately facilitated by those same media.

Those are REPUBLICANS. They HAVE to keep believing Saddam was responsible for 9/11, or else they'd have to admit they were WRONG! I'm bot giving the media a pass here, but I think putting it in the headlines wouldn't have changed most of those peoples' minds. They'd just dismiss it as 'liberal media bias'. Remember, Tinkerbelle's going to die if we don't all believe hard enough! As late as 2007 I was still getting into arguments with people who swore there were WMD's somewhere in Iraq!
