With states and municipalities filing for bankruptcy, and America's infrastructure crumbling before our eyes, the GOP has come up with a brilliant plan - Let's stop paying taxes! Apparently to Republicans, starving the government is the best way to continue destroying it. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire appears on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to debate the issue.

1. It (tax cuts for "the risk takers") doesn't "keep coming up because it works"...

...it keeps coming up because it makes money for its promoters and their cronies and financers, not because it works for the general public.

2. A brainstorming question I have for those who hate taxes:

Tomorrow we have no taxes, so now, how do we pay for everything, who pays, and how much do they pay?

So many who hate taxes resent that their tax dollars go for something that does not benefit them. God forgive if someone gets anything that the tax haters believe is not deserved, although they are firm believers that the snow on their street be plowed first. And why should they pay taxes to support schools when they have no children is school, conveniently forgetting that others said the same thing about them when they did have children in school.

I do think my question is a good one for everyone to ponder, but there is no perfect answer. Most likely the best we could hope for is an answer that is disliked the least.
