This is the Ann "USA!USA!" Curry on MSNBC talking about her interview with Rick Warren.

The first odd part is that she feels compelled to defend him and continue a lie about Prop 8
http://mediamatters.org/items/200812180008?f=h_clips

The second odd part is the interviewee (Curry) introduces the clip not the MSNBC anchor

The BIG ONE is that Rick Warren says "for 5,000 years every single culture and every single religion has defined marriage between a man and a woman"
-this completely ignores marriage in the age of the Old Testament
-his list of "every single religion" doesn't include MORMONISM and Ann Curry lets it pass. Warren was only wrong about
Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam while excluding Mormonism
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygamy#Patterns_of_occurrence_across_religions

The Mormons have officially disavowed polygamy in 1862 but that was mostly so Utah could become a state
oh and they had more than a little bit to do with passing Prop 8 now didn't they (p)Rick?

1. It's not just gay people...
...who are upset about this. I voted against Prop 8 and my happiness over Obama's victory was somewhat diluted by its passing.

2. The pain it would cause millions more....?
I can see a fare amount of angst, but certainly no more pain than when equal rights for African Americans. Grow up and put your big boy boxers on!

As for 5 thousand years……Come on…read your bible….and start with a union of 1 man and as many women as he could afford……not to mention a concubine or two…….oy!

Blessed is the man who walks not with the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners…(Psalm 1:1)

So get the hell out of my way……

4. I met Ann Curry once.
She is a perfectly decent person and a good reporter. I'm sorry that she didn't hold up to your standards.
