And Mr. Swanson, you're a cutie as well as smart, though you weren't given much chance to talk.
They really did smear Moyers. UGH!

2. Oh those poor victims of being told the truth
They didn't slime Moyer at all though they did use their regular tactic of attacking the messenger.

3. Did you watch it? They did indeed slime Moyers, said he's not
hireable anywhere but PBS, slammed his reputation.

4. He isn't hireable anywhere else
Do you really think that GE or Viacom or Disney or Newscorp would let him report things like this??? Hell no.

5. You're right of course, I guess I just took offense at the way
they insinuated he wasn't believeable, which is their job. I'm sure they're all aware that he could walk and talk logical circles around all of them at once with one hand tied behind his back while chewing gum.

6. My antennae is pretty attuned to them at this point
it isn't always what is said but what isn't. It can be tiresome but listening to every words helps. Once you have heard it more than once you know that it needs to be dissected.

7. Kill the Messenger
and hopefully we can distract from the real message-
Which is how the various Media Personalities assisted
the WH in selling the Iraq war to American People.

A lot of personalities at Fox beat the drums the loudest
and shouted the hardest pushing the war.

8. America At A Crossroads
started out OK, then got oh so slanted. It was unlike anything I've ever seen on PBS - Twilight Zone like, with it's reenactments.

Holmes is so weak.

10. Actually, "America at a Crossroads" started out as a Right Wing propaganda effort ....
... by then PBS head -- and Right Wing hack/stooge -- Tomlinson, but was edged somewhat back to reality (though not successfully, it appears) following Tomlinson's ignominious exit from PBS. (according to Eric Mink of the St.Louis Post-Dispatch)
"America at a Crossroads," a special documentary project that has had to overcome dubious roots. "Crossroads" was conceived in 2004 at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting under its disgraced former chairman, Kenneth Tomlinson. Tomlinson, a Bush administration apparatchik who worked to infect public television with right-wing ideology, resigned in 2005 after an inspector general's investigation into his actions found evidence of repeated violations of policies, ethics and law. Tomlinson maintained he did nothing wrong.

In the wake of Tomlinson's hasty departure, stewardship of the "Crossroads" project was handed over to professionals at WETA, the respected public station in Washington, D.C., a move that shored up its credibility and attracted some accomplished production teams that previously had steered clear.

11. My favorite moment was Sean Hannity proving Bill Moyers' point ...
... when Hannity took up the argument that we needed to invade Iraq because Saddam had gassed the Kurds. (i.e. Faux News again promoting war with Iraq on a dubious basis, just as Moyers highlights)

Aside, of course, from both Bozo and Hamity smearing the most respectable Moyers, underscoring Faux News as a smear machine. (i.e. a smear machine when it's not too busy being a propaganda machine)

12. Can't attack the message, Attack the messenger then distract
Asking a loaded question like do you work for a slime machine? Couldn't answer because he'd lose his job. Didn't get the answer they were looking for so went back to the conservative. Nothing about the message just about Moyers and spending tax dollar money(as if these people care at all about tax dollars) and sum it up as Left wing attack film to give it a frame as Unsuitable to anyone not left wing..God these people treat everyone like idiots, like they 'know' something we can't see. Who can stand to even watch these predictable paid liars so filled with hate and self righteousness. Conversation enders because if they can say or think that then stop listening because nothing else they say can be taken seriously. "The only way to not know is to not want to know" (R.Penn Warren)
