1. I think she would be a good choice
Plus a Democratic Governor would appoint the next Senator.

And she would do a good job.

11. I would never make such a comparison.
How would she compare to Madeleine Albright?

4. I agree
Hillary would do an excellent job as SOS. Plus, it's kind of a two-for-one with Bill Clinton, who is so well known and respected around the globe.

Welcome to DU! :hi:

3. Thank God we'll have someone untainted by support for the Iraq War to represent us.
Oh.

6. Who is qualified that didn't support the Iraq war?
Kerry is also under consideration but he was for the Iraq war too, as were the large majority of Dems.

7. John Kerry, Bill Richardson, and Tom Daschle, supported it, too.
There doesn't seem to be an opponent of the Iraq War even under consideration for Secretary of State.

5. This could just be a way to seek the good-will of Hillary Clinton supporters...
...saying: We think so much of Hillary Clinton that we're considering her for the prestigious job of Secretary of State.

9. Hillary said she's not interested in the SCOTUS
I don't have a link handy, but I'm pretty certain I recall her saying during a recent interview that she is not interested in the Supreme Court.

13. I'm a Hillary fan but I prefer her in the Senate
Perhaps as majority leader someday.

There are other great choices as well.

18. The list of candidates increases yet again.
The only name that matters is the one Obama mentions when he says, "I am nominating, for Secretary of State, ...."

Until then, it's all bullshit.
