John Edwards Walks in the Shoes of New York Nursing Home Worker Elaine Ellis

As part of SEIU’s program to ensure that presidential candidates experience firsthand what life is like for working people in America, Sen. John Edwards last Wednesday walked a day in the shoes of SEIU member Elaine Ellis. His time with her began with an early morning breakfast and continued with rounds at the nursing home where Ellis works.

1. He Should Spend The Day With An Unemployed Worker
Edited on Fri Apr-20-07 09:41 PM by MannyGoldstein
Whose job was outsourced by one of Edwards' 'free' trade votes.

And if that unemployed worker goes bankrupt? Edwards can tell her why he voted for BOTH no-predatory-lender-left-behind bankruptcy bills.

4. His Voting Record is Most Important
The best predictor of what a candidate will do in the future is what they did in the past.

Time and time again, Edwards voted to help the Predator Class at the expense of the Middle Class. Why would you expect that he'll suddenly be different, just because he says he will?

7. Very Similar To Mrs. Clinton's

Obama has not been in office long - but he seems to be different, from what I can see.

8. Forgot 'Free' Trade, IWR, 'Patriot' Acts, Bankruptcy Bills...
... and so forth.

Look: Edwards voted for some 'feel-good' bills - but on the important votes, he chose to sodomize the Middle Class to satisfy the Predator Class. I'd love for the truth to be otherwise - but it's not.

He is what he is.
